From the owner

The Green Frog is a cottage in the village of pilgrims, at the foot of the sierra San Cristobal, in the heart of the parque natural sierra de Aracena and picos de Aroche. It is an old restored house which has two dwellings (each has two bedrooms with double bed and bathroom and a room with bed of 105 cm without bathroom). Two dwellings are connected each other, although they may be isolated, so it can be hired together or individually. They share an outdoor staircase that connects the terrace with the inner courtyard of the other. Both have fireplaces and separate door to the street. Ideal for families with children, couples in group.

For visitors who wish to do so, we offer activities of nature, hiking and nature photography (bird feeder, in their natural habitat, mushrooms, landscapes, Los Romeros, macro, etc.) guided by Biologo-fotografo - environmental educator, as well as personal development through activities of Gestalt Therapy. We can arrange custom activities, according to the demand of the guests. Consult prices of activities with the owner.

It is an ideal place for hiking, by the wide network of rural roads that leave from the village or through it: La Via Verde (4 km) low difficulty, ideal to discover the banks of the pilgrims; The Romeros-Aguafria (2 km) difficult low-medium, way to Cork and chestnut trees; The pilgrims - La Canaleta (4 km) difficult low-medium, pastures of cork oaks and holm oaks, Los Romeros-Jabugo (6 km) medium difficulty, Jabugo, Mount of Oaks and chestnut trees; The pilgrims - Los Molares (6 km), medium difficulty of Oaks and chestnut trees.

This very well connected by road and has several nearby towns with historical and cultural interest: Cortegana (11 km) with a medieval castle (XIV century) in very good condition; Jabugo (10 km) nerve centre of the production of Iberian hams (possibility of visits to the factories of processing); Almonaster la Real (11 km) where you can visit the rural mosque best preserved in Spain (ninth century); Aguafria (4 km) village that maintains the typical urban structure of the sierra; Aracena (26 km) main town of the mountain where you can visit the cave of wonders or the Castle-fortress from the 13th century.

Una escapada para olvidar

Owner's reply:
