The house is located just outside but close to the city centre, which offers the advantage of tranquillity and easy access by car or public transport. In a 15 min. walk through the central park you are in the centre of Ghent. The area is multicultural and often called the Brooklyn of Ghent, especially young and creative talent is recently moving to this area of town. There is a supermarket, bakery, pharmacist, restaurants, grocery and press store just around the corner. You can relax in the enclosed private garden or at different parks and the nearby water front.

Ground floor:

-Garage;

-Covered patio/library: on the ground floor you can enjoy the sun or reading a book in the covered patio and library.

- From this patio you can access the second bedroom ( standard 2 bunk beds; on simple demand we can change it to one single bed or a double bed)

-Garden/terrace: from the patio you have direct access to a great enclosed outdoor space, although you are in the middle of a city. People refer to it as the secret jewel of this house.

First floor:

-Living room/kitchen: the first floor is an open space in loft style with a discrete although fully equipped kitchen and living area. The kitchen has modern appliances as a Nespresso coffee machine, an induction hob, oven and microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and fridge with freezer. A large desk with computer screen, USB-port and internet connection allows you to install your devices and work comfortably. The spacious living room is tastefully decorated, has a flat screen television and offers a nice view on the enclosed garden by the architectural bottom to top window.

Second floor:

- Master bedroom with sleeping accommodation for 2 persons, but a baby bed can be provided if necessary. The large double bed and matrasses are new. The adjacent bathroom is built in luxurious materials, has a lavabo, toilet large bath and shower to recover from your trip. Bath supplies and a hairdryer are present.

Services: for every stay there is a welcome packet, which includes a filled fridge with food/beverages and bread for a first light meal. Coffee (Nespresso) and thee are free to use as well as all small kitchen supplies like cooking herbs, oil, sugar, dish wash tablets etc.

Sheets, pillows and towels are included and a weekly change is provided when staying for longer periods.

We like it shipshape therefore the cleaning services are included after each stay and on a weekly basis for longer stays.

American or European breakfast, catering, shopping and lining services are not included but can be ordered.

The nearby Treepoint flex offices, meeting centre and fablab, offers a scale of services for your business stay or event. We are happy to inform you.

We can help you with inside information on hotspots in Ghent, booking restaurants, concerts or public transportation tickets.

There is Free internet and WIFI in the house and garden.

Access/parking: there is one free parkingspace in our garage, which is valuable because parking in the city is very expensive.

Public transportation:

In the street there is a tram (4) and bus stop which takes you to the railway stations, city centre, university, shopping area and museums in no time. There is a direct connection by train to Brussels airport, Antwerp, Brussels city, Bruges and the Belgian coast. With the high-speed Thalys train you can reach Paris or Amsterdam from Ghent Sint-Pieters trainstation in about 2 hours and London in about 3 hours.

Why can't I call Bart & Daisy (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

How can I retract my booking request?

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Bart & Daisy (the owner) a message.

If Bart & Daisy (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
