“Family Gite”

Reviewed 22 Sep 2014

Lovely modern gite with everything you could want or need for exploring the countryside, we even found a village 3 day fete (thanks to Jackie). Our 9 year old daughter loved the swimming pool, trampoline and the dog, so she was occupied whilst we relaxed. The gite had a lovely log fire, so even though the weather wasn't great, Kev did have the excuse to light the fire a couple of nights. Would definitely recommend this gite to anyone with families.

“Well equipped and comfortable, a quiet and friendly atmosphere.”

Reviewed 21 Jul 2014

A comfortable base for exploring a lovely backwater, a great place to stay either before or after visiting the circuit at Le Mans. A restfull stay with many towns and villages nearby.

“Fantastic Holiday!”

Reviewed 16 Jun 2014

Just returned from a wonderful 2 week holiday staying here. We couldn't ask for anything better. Home away from home! Starting from the yummy welcome pack to our linen being changed mid stay we couldn't have asked for better accommodation. I would definitely rate this 5 star. We have 2 young children (5,2) so the garden full of toys was a welcome distraction. Lots to do in the surrounding areas for children. The man made lake/beach at Coco Plage helped in the increasing heat. We spent the start of our second week at Disneyland Paris. Only a 2 3/4 hour drive and the road system is so much better than here. It was great to get back to the gite for a few days of relaxation before our journey home. We will definitely return in the future to check up on Nutella the chick and see how Topaz is!

“Brilliant”

Reviewed 5 Aug 2013

We have just returned from one of the most relaxing holiday’s ever the owner’s Jackie and Tony were great nothing was too much bother for them to make your stay an enjoyable experience. The large, gated and well-equipped property has been extensively and tastefully renovated sits on a quiet road very important if you have children. We found it an excellent base for exploring the beautiful French countryside discovering many interesting villages and towns seeing the real France.

“Home from home”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2012

I would highly recommend this gite. Jackie and Tony are very welcoming and are on hand for anything you need. The play area for the kids is amazing which meant we could relax a bit especially with the cider we were given! Inside the gite is great and the photos online dont do it justice We will be rebooking here again as we liked it so much. Thanks Jackie and Tony.

“WOW - Where to start?!”

Reviewed 28 Aug 2012

On arrival we were greeted by Jackie, Tony, Harry (& Buddy who soon became Banjo's (our Parson Russel Terrier's best friend!) After a very warm welcome(which included fresh bread, cheese, milk AND wine!) we were left to settle in. Maison Ensoleillee was a home from home- clean, contemporary & comfortable - high praise indeed from the fussiest person on earth (or so I'm told!) ! We had chosen to mainly eat in the gite and I was happy to find the kitchen very well equipped. As there was a washing machine too I decided to do a daily wash which avoided the post holiday mountain - heaven!! There is an iron and ironing board but I thought ironing a step too far - I was on holiday afterall! All of the rooms in the gite are spacious. The beds very comfortable, a little too comfortable, as I found my usual 6.30am start now a 10.30 start! Aside from the bed I am sure much was to do with the beautiful, tranquil surroundings. Our late lie in meant that we missed the croissants in the local Boulangerie - but if you are an early riser the bakery is just a short country stroll away. Maison Ensoleillee is ideally located to visit many beautiful villages & soak up the culture. Alternatively you can take a drive out to many local attractions as mentioned on the web site of Maison Ensoleillee - Zoo La Fleche, Disneyland.... We would definitely stay here again - mainly due to the fact that Jackie & Tony are such lovely people - they make you feel so welcome. They are always on hand if you need any advice on where to go or any other questions youmay have.

“Great family holiday”

Reviewed 20 Jul 2012

We have just returned home having spent almost 2 fantastic weeks at Maison Ensoleillee. It is a truly delightful place to stay and the owners, Jackie and Tony were so helpful - above and beyond the call of duty! We travelled with our 2 young children aged 2 and 5 and both had a brilliant time - great play facilities and they also got to feed the chickens and play with the family pet rabbit! We have come home with some lovely memories. As we were with the children, our holiday centred around keeping them happy and they were! The property is about an hour away from a lovely zoo and also papea parc in Le Mans made for a great day out. There are some lovely villages nearby with nice places to eat and the nearby town of Alencon is just a 10 minute drive away with plenty of shops and restaurants to cater for every need! Have a feeling we will go back - if our 2 girls have anything to do with it we will!

“You simply MUST stay here!!!!”

Reviewed 2 Jul 2012

We had a fantastic time staying at Maison Ensoleillee! The place itself is a converted farm-house which has been restored to an extremely high and modern standard by the owners. It retains all of its original charm and the location is stunning - rolling French countryside and loads of open space! But by far and away the most appealing and memorable aspect to a stay here are the hosts, Tony & Jackie! Very welcoming, helpful and open, they made us feel totally at home. They are also great fun if you want to sit out over the BBQ and share a couple of drinks!! Apart from making our holiday stay 'magnifique', I would now consider T&J as good freinds and cant wait to visit them again. I would have no hesitation in recommending a stay here - you will definitely never forget it!

“Fantastic hosts and wonderful home, would return in a heart beat.”

Reviewed 10 Jun 2012

We enjoyed a great three night stay, at the lovely cottage. Jackie, Tony and Family could not be more helpful and welcoming, going above and beyond to help us in anyway they could during our stay. The cottage was well equipped, and a ideal holiday rental.
