Description

Le Jarrier Gite offers self catering accommodation for up to 4 guests in a rural setting. It is a converted stable / barn renovated to provide a detached holiday home with modern facilities & a well appointed kitchen. We also provide Free WIFI. The gite sleeps 4 in a total of 2 bedrooms. The large secure garden area benefits from a south facing position with lovely views & an above ground private pool (3.6 meters). The pool is seasonal, however it benefits from solar heating. There is parking for several vehicles.

Le Jarrier Gite has a very well equipped kitchen & the conservatory / garden room provides excellent views of the private large garden and surrounding countryside. It benefits from sunshine all day. The shower room, with walk-in shower is on the ground floor as is bedroom 2 with full / adult size bunk beds.

On the first floor is Bedroom 1, the main private/gallery style bedroom directly off the stairs, with a double bed and an en-suite W/C, giving the gite the added benefit of 2 W/C's (one on each floor).

There are two UK Satellite TV systems (in both the lounge and main bedroom of the gite) with the added bonus of French TV & DVD player (with USB port) in the lounge which has a 32" LCD TV. There is also a Playstation 2 with a range of games and many DVD's.

We have a travel cot for a baby / toddler with bedding and also a high seat. Heating is provided via electric wall heaters and there are no additional charges for electricity.

Bedding and towels are all provided free of charge.

Children and adults love feeding our chickens & sheep. 2018 will be our 11th year & we have been fully booked every season to date, with a high number of returning customers +/or their friends & family. We are also proud of our EXCELLENT score rating of 5/5 on Trip Advisor (50 reviews).

“A home away from home”

A lovely cottage, very complete and then some! Plenty of garden furniture, games and small but perfect pool. Overlooking fields -we regularly spotted birds of pray and foxes....and cows :-). Heather and Gary are extremely hospitable, no question is too much. We have enjoyed the regular visits from Geo and Flo the cats. You will need a car. If you want to avoid mass tourism locations this is your holiday. The Super U in Fresnay or Sille are best for your groceries. Activities: hiking in the forests nearby or river walks. Canoeing, horseriding, wallclimbing, go-Ape, bungyjumping. The swimming lake in Sille Forest. Le Mans (40 min) and Le Fleche zoo (1hr15min drive) highly remmonended. We also enjoyed the stargazing and hearing the owls hoot at night. All in all a holiday to unwind and enjoy the French outdoor.

Back for another visit! Heather and Garry do such a good job making visitors welcome and the gite and it's lovely garden are most appealing. They offer everything for a 'home from home' stay with a very generous amount of equipment and facilities. Perfect for relaxing or as a base for taking in the local villages and towns. Beautiful, clean, well equipped gite. Wonderful welcome with essential items and a bottle of wine. The gite was set in the most beautiful countryside, easy access to many places of interest. An amazing place to unwind an relax. Thank you Gary and Heather.

We traveled with our two young children ( 1 & 3) looking for a relaxing break while remaining entertaining for the kids. This holiday ticked both boxes. The Gite is beautifully restored and is well equipped for adults and children alike. It's located in a peaceful, rural area providing the perfect base for exploring the surrounding area (with which there's plenty to explore). The owners Gary and Heather were extremely helpful and although we didn't need to see them at any point in the week i'm certain that they'd have done everything in their capacity to help us with anything we required. I'd definitely recommend the Gite and will be doing so. We are already thinking of when we can next re-visit. Thanks again and look forward to returning soon.

We don't normally stay in gites on the owners property but we are so glad we did this year. Heather and Garry made us feel so welcome and were there if we needed them but without being intrusive. The animals were so entertaining. We had everything that we could have wished for and will certainly be returning with family next time. So thank you for a fantastic holiday Heather and Garry.

The site was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, a real home from home. Equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect for peace and tranquility. The owners are onhand if there are any issues or questions. I would highly recommend.

Everything needed is there, one of the most fully equipped gite we have stayed in. Even on wet days there are DVDs, PSP games, CDs and board games to play. Although the owners are on site you would never know it. The privacy is great. The views from the gite are beautiful, and sun sets stunning. Sheep and goat present for feeding waste bits too,and cats to play with. So relaxing, home from home

A perfect setting for a first class gite, supported by the most friendly & helpful of hosts in Garry & Heather. A compact gite with all the facilities we were looking for. Set in beautiful countryside, this is the perfect base to explore the region or simply relax in the garden and dip in the pool. The whole experience was very good, with nothing to dislike.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Heather (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
