Thank you for your thoughtful Review, Linda. You make it all worthwhile!! 30 years and still going strong! Every one of our accommodations was designed and built with an eye to comfort dictated by weather conditions. We are delighted to hear that it has, apparently, worked. Spectacular views, convenience to good shops and the finest restaurants, wonderful beaches and related activities are but a few of the delights to be found here. Mornings and evenings are often a special time here in our little corner of Paradise: Birds of all sizes and colors and tropical wildlife abound - especially in the early and late parts of the day. We pride ourselves on paying tribute to the topography as well as the weather conditions that we were fortunate enough to find when we first arrived here. We did not arrive with the arrogant notion of "taming" nature, but rather to complimenting it. Natural materials - including local natural stone and tropical woods - are used wherever possible in the many retaining walls and in the construction of each of our Villas. Great care was taken to create "quiet areas". Walls of glass are judiciously incorporated into the buildings to permit endless beautiful views. All of this has been done in a conscious effort to create a soft, quiet and gentle environment in which to rest, entertain and socialize. We're looking forward to your sixth visit next year! Wonderful guests make for wonderful memories! Thanks so much for your visit here to our little corner of Paradise! We only wish that it could have been for a longer period!! Sitting high above the Pacific Ocean ensures lots of spectacular vistas, and we are certainly not shy of views! Sitting by one of the pools under palm trees, watching nature, the stars and sky is always a special treat. It's fun to join friends and visit a variety of excellent restaurants, bars, and shops in the area - or to simply explore the gentle countryside. Nature is always just a glance away. We recently were visited by a small flock of colourful parrots and it is a common daily occurrence to site a wide variety of birds and even little foxes, coatimundi, deer, manigordos and other animals of the forest roaming our private adjoining preserve. For our more active guests, there is sailing, fishing, surfing, stand up paddle, white water rafting, golf, tennis and of course swimming. Have a taste for exploring and adventure? Try nearby waterfalls, extinct volcanos, horseback cross country rides, mud baths and jungle tours to name but a few activities readily available in our immediate area. We pride ourselves in being able to offer so many activities - all in a gentle, quiet and convenient setting! We are looking forward to your return to our little corner of Paradise. Thanks to you all for your visit! This was your fourth visit, and this time you brought some relatives, too! We really had a "blast" and got a great kick out of meeting them. We seem to be developing into a destination for family get-togethers - and what better place than Villas Casa Loma! Lots of room to spread out - and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, too! Your active family certainly took in the sights and were constantly on the move. One of our favourite memories is from the day we all loaded into a couple of vehicles and did an amazing day trip to Nicoya and Nosara Beach, stopping at Guanacaste's only coffee processing plant for a tour and an interesting side trip through the hills to the indigenous village of Matambe. Our final destination of Nosara was crowned by spectacular views and a great beach-side meal. We certainly enjoyed the day! We'll certainly do it again and again! We hope that you and your family will return again soon, too. There is so much more for you all to see and do here! We're looking forward to your next visit to our little corner of Paradise! Recently we have had a number of guests who have used our compound as a home base while taking shorter trips to the Monteverde Cloud Forests Preserve, Arenal Volcano and Lake, Tempisque River, etc. It is exciting to see the photographs of the abundant wildlife taken on their trips... Now we have our own little wildlife tour available here in our own "back yard". We cleared out the road leading into the back and top of our property, so we are almost daily seeing lots of unusual wildlife and birds! Our second pool is now in operation, too. Lots happening here. We had a pod of whales frollicking in the bay out front the other day! ... We trust that you are both well and settling into your new home and hope you will drop by one day for a visit. Why can't I call Igor (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Igor (the owner) a message.

If Igor (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
