Located in the quiet fishermen’s town of Morinj, the Naluka Trove is like an oasis in the heart of the Bay of Kotor. With its’ own private dock, overlooking the mountains and bay, as well as a lush garden of exotic plants and fruit, you are invited to soak up the sun and enjoy the warm Adriatic climate.
On the hot summer days, you can refresh yourself in the cool water that is provided by two mountain streams that flow into the bay. Outside of this small paradise, you can visit the other beaches in town (there two beach bar cafes), as well as hike up to the historic old town located just up the mountains. There they can enjoy the charming churches and houses, as well as the spectacular nature and view overlooking the bay. If you are an active type, there is a soccer field just two minutes away, as well as tennis courts that can be rented in the town of Kostanjica (5 minutes away).
Morinj is also known for having one of the most famous restaurants in Montenegro, Catovica Mlini ((website hidden)). There you can try great local seaside specialties, and then stop by in the town winery for a taste of the regional wines. Fresh local cheese, fish, mussels, and wine are plentiful in this region. We would be more than happy to organize any gourmet field trips, or prepare food and wine samplings at home. We love cooking local dishes! If wanted breakfast can be served every morning, however this would be at additional cost. This needs to be requested before arrival.
A relatively quiet town at night, Morinj offers a winery and two bars, however it is located between two main towns, Kotor and Herceg Novi, which are both known for their vibrant nightlife. Both towns can be reached by bus and taxi, 25 minutes away, every night of the week (schedules will be provided to the guests). Buses do not run late.
If you are interested in short day trips, or any overnight trips, we will be right next door with information and suggestions about tours and destinations. We will also always be available by phone and/or email. Perast, a beautiful old town, is only a 15 minute drive away. You can enjoy true Montenegrin coastal hangout at the Pirate beach bar (the large selection of home-made rakijas are a must to try), or go back in time and experience a town that once belonged to both the Roman and Venetian empire. If you are interested, we are more than happy to organize activities for every guest, whether you like hiking and yoga, or prefer picnics and tasting local food. For any parents wishing to have a few moments to themselves, we offer children’s activities, such as gardening and art & crafts classes. All of these activities must be arranged beforehand, and we will provide a detailed description and price list.
