This cottage in Eastham is the ideal spot to enjoy the perfect Cape Cod vacation! An easy four minute stroll puts you on the stairs over the dunes looking down at a stunning private bayside beach. Enjoy sunbathing, swimming, clamming, fishing, shelling and just relaxing on the loveliest beach on the Cape, far from the madding crowd.

The cottage is located on a peaceful wooded 1 acre lot on a private lane off Herringbrook Road. Private access to Target View Beach on Cape Cod Bay is a leisurely 4 minute walk away. If it's freshwater swimming you want, 1 minute in the car (or 5 minutes walking) gets you to Eastham's Wiley Park. Wiley Park offers a beach with lifeguards on Great Pond, with a roped off swimming area complete with a floating dock, a bathhouse & a playground. Coast Guard Beach (a Top 10 US Beach for 2014- Forbes Magazine) with its dramatic surf & the chance to spot a seal or a whale is just 3.5 miles away on the Atlantic Ocean coast. Also, the Cape Cod Rail Trail, ideal for bikers & joggers, can easily be accessed only 1 mile from the cottage. The Cape Cod National Seashore Visitor Center is less than 2 miles away, a quick 5 minutes by car. Adjacent to the Visitor Center, you can try your luck "scratching quahogs" out of Salt Pond's well-stocked waters on Sundays. The Wellfleet Drive-In movie theater, the ONLY drive-in on the Cape, is 7 minutes by car. On Sunday mornings, the Drive-in becomes Cape Cod's biggest flea market, well worth a visit! The delights of Provincetown are just a half hour away to the North, while historic Plimouth Plantation, Plymouth Rock & the Mayflower beckon in the opposite direction.

A classic Cape-style house, this cozy cottage offers 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths downstairs plus a half bath upstairs, a large living room/dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs and 1 upstairs, with a total of 8 beds (1 queen, 5 twins, plus 2 single Castro convertible beds). The upstairs bedroom also has a double sofa bed. On the second floor, a door off the stairs leads to an sunny alcove that provides two additional beds (1 twin, 1 Castro convertible single), ideal for kids. The ninth sleeper can be accommodated on an additional Castro convertible single in the downstairs den/office.

There is a large deck that opens into a spacious, shady backyard with plenty of privacy and room for all your favorite summer activities. The backyard also has an outdoor shower next to the deck, with a privacy enclosure. Wooded yard is great for kids to play in. Each spring, the owner takes great pains to rip out all poison ivy sprouts found on the property- no calamine lotion needed!

Amenities include: microwave, electric range with oven, large toaster oven, coffee maker, dishwasher, cable TV with new 43" HDTV, DVD player, Wi-Fi, outdoor grill, outdoor shower with hot water and large backyard deck, with offset 10' patio umbrella. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked with every conceivable piece of cookware, dishes & glassware. There are beach chairs and beach toys provided in the garage. The garage also holds charcoal grills. Front of house has a quiet broken slate patio with Adirondack chairs, ideal for reading & bird-watching. The basement has a table tennis set, plus washer/dryer.
