“Clean, Comfortable and Beautiful Spot” We just returned from a week at Lighthouse C and had a wonderful time. The location on East Sandwich Beach was perfect, and I can't rave enough about how beautiful the water was and how perfect that area was for a family with kids. The water was so blue and clear that at times it felt like we were in the Caribbean! There was also a tidal pool that formed at low tide with lots of sealife for the kids to discover (bring a net!) . Lighthouse C itself was small, but we found it clean and comfortable (especially the beds). There have been updates made since pictures were last taken, including a brand new sofa bed in the livingroom (more of a futon- but a nice one), and a microwave (which was invaluable). We didn't notice the musty smell another reviewer noted - but I think that review may have been before the new matresses and sofa. We may try another cottage next year. Many of the other cottages in the same association (Lighthouse Cottages) were more udpated, with skylights, window aC units, etc. There was one hot day when aC would have come in handy. All in all I'd say that Lighthouse C was a good value (looks to be priced $100-$200 less per week than the more updated neighbor cottages), we enjoyed our stay there and I know we'd have a great time if we stayed again.

“Beachside Resort in Cape Cod” First of all, we loved the area in East Sandwich and really enjoyed the access to the private beach. The cottage was cozy and well equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The cottage sits behind 2 other cottages so the view of the beach/ocean is blocked from indoors...but the weather was fantastic and with children...you can't just sit indoors...you've got to go out and be a part of nature. This was the lovely aspect of our holiday!

“Great for a family vacation” This was our third year renting this property and as usual had a great time. The cottage was very clean with a lot of nice touches.The fans and air conditioner in the bedrooms made for a comfortable night of sleeping.(The week we stayed was rather humid). The location was great. We look forward to next year.

“Great vacation house!” We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The inside of this house was wonderful, recently renovated, perfectly decorated for a great vacation at the beach. It had all the amenities that we were looking for (washer & dryer, a/c and internet access), plus it was just a great house. We are a family of 4, and both kids loved having their own room with lots of space. The location was great as far as being close to everything. We walked across the street to Hemisphere restaurant for dinner, over to the canal for long walks. Seafood Sams and the Fish Market are very close. All within walking distance. Downtown shopping is just a short drive away too. The only downfall for us was the beach. The closest beach (right across the street) is a very rocky public beach, so if you're used to private, sandy beaches, this may not be the best place for you. But... you can always drive to better beaches, which we ended up doing several times. All in all, a terrific experience.

“Great Little Cottage” The cottage was impecable. Had a great location. Was just the right size for me and my two young boys. We could sit back and relax or do the touristy thing. I only wish there had been an outdoor shower, but the hose worked well enough! We did have to figure out for ourselves how to get to the beach. Everyone in the "neighborhood" was friendly. My boys said it was "kind of like camping, but way better". We had a great time and plan on returning next year.

“Great Get-away” Staying at this location has been one of the greatest things we have done for ourselves. So restful, and relaxing -Watching the water. Town of Sandwich so convienient for all your needs. This cottage is so clean and comfortable. The owner is very accomodating to make sure your stay is at it's best.

“Wonderful Beach” We have rented this location for the last five years and have enjoyed the experience immensley. The cottage is spacious, clean and comfortable. The bonus of washer and dryer makes vacationing more convenient. The only issues I have concerns some of the fixtures being older and in disrepair. The awnings outside need repair as well as some windows and the tile around the bathtub appear to be loose. These are only minor issues and did not effect the quality of our vacation. I would recommend this location to anyone interested in vacationing on the Cape.
