Properties on Holiday Lettings can be sorted/ranked in the following ways:
Orders properties using various data points, in particular: ratings, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, minimum number of nights, and data relating to the interest in/bookings of the property through us, including the advertiser’s rate of providing quotes to travellers who make enquiries. Other factors include price, property capacity, number of photographs, location, amenities, appearance in search results, page views, and the advertiser’s responsiveness and cancellation rate.
Price low to high / high to low
Orders properties based on either (i) the property’s minimum nightly price, if the traveller has searched without dates, or (ii) the average nightly price for the applicable week of the year, if the traveller has input dates.
Orders properties by total number of reviews attached to the listing (highest to lowest), irrespective of average score. Where there is a listing with the same number of reviews as another (or a listing with no reviews), properties are sorted according to their proximity to the searched location.
“Beautiful, Comfortable, and Serene” Our family of five (Dad, Mom, and three kids; 13, 11, and 7) had a wonderful one-week stay at Bob & Virginia's house in Quidnet last summer (2013). The house is very comfortable, and the property is very private. We neither saw nor heard anyone other than ourselves while staying at the property, and neighbors/guests we'd occasionally meet on the road to the house were incredibly friendly.
We made full use of the bikes on the property, riding the bike path into Sconset, and taking the very quiet & low-traffic roads into Quidnet & Wauwinet. It's about a 10-minute bike ride to the nearest public beach at Quidnet, which has both the ocean and a very large bay. Our favorite features of the property were the second floor deck off the master bedroom, the patio, and the outdoor shower, which was fantastic after a long day at the beach. Not many native Nantucketers we spoke to knew where Salti Way was. That's how you know you're staying somewhere very private. Have to add that Bob's recommendations on restaurants across every price range were spot-on, from dinner on the beach at The Galley, to a late night pizza from Pi. We'd stay again in a heartbeat.
If you've never been to Nantucket before, you should know that Quidnet is roughly a 15-minute drive from town & the main ferry landings. If you plan on going into town often, you'll want a car.
“Quiet, Quaint Cottage” Myself, my husband, our 7 month old daughter and our dog truly enjoyed our stay at the Lesser Light. Our trip was kicked off with a warm welcome from Lauren and Ron, who also periodically checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. The cottage was clean, comfy and cozy. And its location was very convenient - a few minutes outside of town, right next to a wonderful bike/walk path, and just up the road from Tom Nevers Beach which had spectacular views. I only wish we could have stayed longer!
