Villa Maya, built in 2010 and refurbished in July 2018 is a Balinese style open plan, very airy and totally private residence based in the heart of Choengmon Koh Samui.

Located in a walled off private estate, with the emphasis being on keeping it overly natural, and totally at one with the surrounding nature at all times. So you can expect a theme throughout that leans very much towards the use of natural wood, terracotta tiles, extra high ceilings, and lots of big open spaces.

We have 8 villas in total so if the date you are looking for are not available on the calendar, please take a moment to absorb the availability of the other villas on my profile as they are all pretty similar is style, size and design.

Villa Maya is most suited for couples or families that appreciate lounging by the pool, lush gardens, lots of greens, lots of peacefulness and unsurpassed privacy. Each villa comprises three separate pavilions which is most akin to Balinese architecture.

OUTDOOR DINNING

One of the most complimented aspects of Villa Maya is its range of dinning experiences. Guests can cook their own meals in the fully stocked kitchen, or you can have your dinner cooked for you and enjoy it at the patio as the sun goes down. A healthy breakfast by the pool prepared for you by our wonderful is a wonderful way to start your island morning, or you could just order in via the Hang Over Samui food delivery service.

PRIVATE POOLS

The entire concept and driving idea behind our villas is that each villa is a totally private and an independent residence all on it own and in light of that all the villas come standard with their very own pool, fabulous covered sun deck for reading as well as sun-loungers for enjoying that tropical island tan.

BALINESE STYLE BEDROOMS

Again, complete privacy and independence is at the heart of each design and feature, so all bedrooms are not only completely separate from each other, but also boasts their very own spacious ensuite bathrooms, own unique garden view and private veranda. All bedrooms feature air-conditioning and all master bedrooms come standard with an electronic safety deposit box.

GREAT LOCATION

When staying in Koh Samui it is essential to understand where you are booking. The Island comprises four main sections. Lamai, Chaweng, Maenam and Nathon. And while all of the districts are stunning in nature, some are just too far away from where all the action is, which is known as Chaweng.

Our Estate is located in the heart of Choengmon which is 5 minutes away from Choengmon beach,10 minutes away from Chaweng, 15 minutes away from Crystal Bay, (which is by far the most beautiful beach on the island) and all the main super markets such as Tesco, Makro and Tops are all reachable within 15 minutes. (all times stated are accurate when using a bike / scooter)

SAFETY & WELLBEING

Thailand as a whole is relatively safe, and Koh Samui, being the island that it is makes it even safer. Nonetheless, every aspect has been taken into consideration for your peace of mind and this is done by means of CCTV cameras throughout, a 24hr guard at the entrance of the estate and very high surrounding walls which make it impossible for anyone not living at the estate to gain entry.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Shambala (the owner) a message.

If Shambala (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
