“5 star accommodation and facilities, yet still feels like home” Baan Tawan Chai offers maximum comfort in luxurious surroundings, yet maintains a feeling of home from home. A perfect retreat for families young and old in a wonderful tropical setting but has easy access to all of the local attractions. Thai hospitality at its best. Loved it so much the first time, I decided to go again and was not disappointed, in fact was very much impressed by the service of the staff and the fact that the incredibly high standard had been maintained. Would encourage everyone to try this beautiful villa and all that it has to offer.

“Sooo relaxing!” If you want to do some serious chilling out and not have to venture far from your own pool and villa, then bookthis. There are lovely restaurants and bars on your doorstep and after a taxi round the island you have seen it all! Fantastic villa and location for total relaxation.

“Wonderful getaway.” Wonderful villa renting experience from start to finish. Owner very hands on, answers all queries very quickly and is on the island to react immediately to any issues. Lots of space in a very well designed villa. Ideally suited for large family groups. Excellent if a remote quiet location is required, but would recommend a car as it is a little isolated. We hadn't thought of this in advance but that was soon organised for us by the owner. Very useful to be supplied with a Thai mobile phone for the duration of your stay. Pool is not huge but perfect for cooling off. Cooking & BBQ facilities provided but it so cheap to eat locally why bother?

Stunning Beach Retreat with staff and breakfast included
Fantastic family holiday destination. Had everything we needed for a large group.

We were looking for quiet, relaxing, spacious, private accomodation for two families and we found it here. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. We were able to find activities during the day and return to the villa for rest and relaxation. It is a beach front villa, but it is not a surf beach as it is protected by a reef. This was a blessing in disguise travelling with kids from 1 up to age 12, as the kids were able to be near shallow, calm water collecting shells, playing in the sandbars and in the kayak etc without parents having to worry about high tide and crashing waves. This was the most relaxing holiday we've had with our family, the number of books read is testament to that. Can highly recommend! … see more

A beautiful and spacious villa surrounded by nature

Butterfly Villa is one of several villas owned and managed by 'Peaceful Villas' and I have to say it is exactly as the company name suggests - 'Peaceful'. The Villa is situated in a tranquil spot surrounded by tropical foliage and the musical sound of wild life, especially in the morning, is simply magical. The villa has recently been refurbished, the standard of finish is excellent and will certainly not disappoint. It is large and roomy with 4 en suite bedrooms, the lower bedroom has it's own sitting area and makes a great kids den. The inside has been cleverly designed with a couple of little sitting areas, ideal for own time and enjoying a good book. The sala at the end of the pool is a nice feature, comfortably seating 8 and is a lovely setting for dining, especially in the evening. As you would expect the villa comes fully equipped and has satellite TV, DVD, WiFi, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Whilst the villa is away from the hustle and bustle it is only a 10 minute easy walk from a few good restaurants, hotels and bars. The local Fishermans restaurant serves great food and always seems to be busy, next to this restaurant is a tourist office and a couple of professional massage places offering traditional inexpensive massages. Renting this villa was completely painless, the owner (Dave) provided a first class service, which included free use of a mobile and a free, and I must say prompt, pick up and drop of at the airport. Dave was always on hand for local advice and it was reassuring to know he lived close by to sort out any potential problems. The servicing staff, who clean and change the linen every 3 days, were friendly and polite although due to the language barrier it was not always easy to communicate. You can certainly rent this villa with confidence and will no doubt enjoy your stay here as much as we did. … see more
Ocean View 1 Bed Villa - Private Pool, Jacuzzi, Yoga Room, FREE CAR & Transfers
Fabulous villa with stunning views

The wake up view from the top bedroom of this glorious two bedroom villa is just awesome, and the adjoining balcony provides the perfect space for watching the sun go down whilst sipping an iced gin and tonic after a hard day by the pool. The lower bedroom has a similar view although due to the height difference is not quite so extensive as the one above. Nevertheless this bedroom is quite unique having a feature ensuite bathroom built into the rocks and two outside doors one of which provides easy access to the pool for those early morning or late night naughty dips. The spacious open kitchen area includes a large oak table capable of seating at least 10, a perfect dining space for entertaining with a view to match. Should you not wish to slave over a hot stove, meals can easily be obtained from the many local restaurants who will happily provide a take away service from their menu, alternatively it is even possible to organise for traditional Thai meals to be cooked in the villa. The kitchen is well equipped with a large fridge/freezer, liquidizer, toaster etc and an annexed utility area contains a washing machine and ironing facilities. The sitting area is spacious and is completely open on three sides giving the area a relaxed airy feel and providing ocean views across to the Islands of Koh Karen and Koh Mat Sum with the Thai mainland in the distance. Adjoining the sitting area is the pool and sun deck both of which enjoy the same stunning views, a large jacuzzi can also be found in this area where the odd glass of wine can be enjoyed under the stars with your nearest and dearest. From the sitting area a few steps cross a fish pool where a mini gym can be found, although all the best keep fit intensions will seem to go to pot during any stay in this fabulous villa. The fish pool is a lovely feature and food is provided for guests to feed the eagerly awaiting inhabitants. Next to the fish pool is a yoga sala situated in a tranquil spot with the same amazing views over the Islands to the mainland. Due to the commanding views enjoyed from this villa there is obviously a bit of a slope to negotiate to reach the property. Having said that only the last 100 metres are the hardest and given the views available, no pain no gain as they say. At 60 I did not find the slope an issue so it really should not be a problem for any one of younger years. However the villa owner does offer a vehicle rental service which provides an easy hassle free solution at competitive rates. Whilst there are several good restaurants and hotels within walking distance (some of which will even pick up and drop off at Sitara) a vehicle is a definite must should you wish to travel further afield and explore the island. The villa owner (Dave) and his staff provide an excellent and faultless service which includes free airport pickup and drop off. A complementary mobile is also provided pre-programmed with the owners number and who is always available to answer any questions or address any problems should they arise, indeed nothing ever seems too much trouble, a perfect service. We didnt want to Leave!!!

Having holidayed and travelled extensively around Thailand for the last 7 years, I have to say this is the best place we have ever stayed! Everything, from the location to the Motorbike hire was excellent. The villa was even nicer than in the photos and the owner could not have been more helpful! We will definitely be going back! If you are looking for a beautiful quiet location, close enough to fantastic beaches and restaurants, then this is the place! Absolute Heaven! … see more

A wonderful week in a beautiful villa

We stayed at Villa Sapphire for a week and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The location is superb and the villa is perfect. Sitting in the open-sided lounge watching the sun go down across the infinity pool is highly recommended! David and Nueng are lovely people and looked after us excellently. We used the car they supplied to explore the island and we particularly liked driving through the jungle in the centre of the island (go see Mr Nim's magic Buddha garden). Near the villa is the Fisherman's Outlet with a couple of good restaurants and on the other side of the road is a track leading to the beach and the Cool Bar which is a great place to spend a few hours. We really had a good week and highly recommend Villa Sapphire. … see more
