Description

Terra Cottage consists of 2 stunning newly-built Caribbean-style cottages in 'Bay Gardens', on the beautiful North Coast of Antigua in the upscale Hodges Bay area.

The property can be rented as the Main cottage by itself for a couple (sleeps 2) for $300CAD/night, or the Main + Guest cottage together (2 bedrooms, sleeps 4) making it ideal for families or 2 couples, for $425CAD/night. There is a 'seasonal rate' from May 5- Sept 30 of $250CAD/night for the Main and $350CAD/night for Main + Guesthouse.

The romantic Master bedroom in the Main cottage has a luxurious Bassett King-size canopy-bed with mosquito net, dresser and armoire, and a beautiful spacious bathroom with his/hers sinks + a large walk-in shower with rainfall showerhead. The bedroom opens up onto a lovely veranda looking out at the pool, where you could enjoy a morning coffee.

The fully-stocked chef's kitchen is complete with Whirlpool fridge, gas oven, & dishwasher, Cuisinart coffee maker & toaster, and Vitamix blender. There is a large granite island with 2 counter-chairs, open to the living room with cathedral ceiling which is tastefully furnished in the British Colonial style. There you can watch the flat-screen LG 43" smart-TV or surf the net on the free WiFi. The huge covered porch has a dining table, hammock and plenty of seating areas, decorated in soothing natural tones and textures, where you can read a book, play cards or a board game, take a nap, or eat a meal in the open air. The whole space is light and airy with lots of doors, large floor-to ceiling windows, and 2 ceiling fans, as well as an air-conditioner in the bedroom to ensure comfort while you sleep. Separate laundry area with Whirlpool washer & dryer (+ iron) is easily accessible out the back door of the kitchen.

The Guest cottage has a 4-poster Queen-size 'Rice' bed, also with a mosquito net. It is furnished with antiques throughout and has a copper bar sink, a mini-fridge, Keurig coffee-maker, electric kettle, and smart-TV in a wicker cabinet, with it's own separate bathroom & shower. There is a vintage tiffany ceiling fan and a Dyson Cool Tower, and the whole space is air conditioned. There is a comfy padded mahogany bench on the covered porch to relax enjoying a coffee or 'sundowner'. This Guest house has lots of beautiful mahogany-framed windows to let in the natural sunlight which also open with operable louvers to let in a gentle island breeze.

There is an outdoor plunge-pool between the 2 cottages to cool off in with surrounding wooden deck to relax on the 4 loungers or eat at the table.

Bay Gardens is a secure, gated property with a private roadway to our cottages and a separate driveway where you can conveniently park by the side entrance to walk right into the kitchen with bags of groceries.

The prime location is on the North Coast of Antigua, within 10 minutes' drive to the amazing Epicurean grocery store, 4km to the V.C. Bird Airport, and close to the capital of St.Johns. Also close to several beaches like Boon's Bay and Dickenson's Bay as well as award-winning restaurants such as Le Bistro and Cecelia's, and minutes to the best golf course on the island, Cedar Valley.

My husband and I have traveled to many different islands in the Caribbean, and once we found the beautiful tropical island of Antigua with its exquisite 365 beaches, we wanted to own a little piece of paradise. We hope you will enjoy staying at our property as much as we do!
