POST-HURRICANE MICHAEL UPDATE

The Turtle Townhouse is ready to be enjoyed. It is in excellent condition. It is “vacation-ready”. Barrier Dunes itself has been well-served to return to its pre-hurricane state. Both swimming pools are up and running. The pool 20 steps from the Turtle Townhouse is heated, effective March 1st. While repairs are taking place all over Cape San Blas, Port St. Joe, Indian Pass areas; most within Barrier Dunes are complete. The beach has received new sand to replace lost sand dunes, and the walkways/ramps have been rebuilt. The beach is wide open and ready to be enjoyed. Cape San Blas has its two convenience stores & gas station open, along with St. Joe Shrimp Company fish market (also serving lunch) open. Weber’s Doughnuts is open. Bicycle/ kayak rentals are operating. The golf course is open.

In Port St. Joe, most restaurants are open. The Piggley Wiggley and Dollar General supermarkets are open. There is still clean-up occurring; and will continue into the near future.

The Turtle Townhouse is located in Barrier Dunes, Cape San Blas. It is a 2 minute walk from the beautiful white sand beach on the Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy swimming, fishing, sunbathing, gorgeous sunsets over the Gulf, on our dog-friendly beach. The Turtle Townhouse comes with items like beach umbrella, sun-chairs, some beach toys, beach wagon to carry goods to beach. The Turtle Townhouse is dog-friendly. Our place is 20 steps from one swimming pool. The Turtle Townhouse overlooks one of the ponds; from our deck you can watch turtles & fish. Our condo comes equipped with full kitchen, pots, pans, coffee-maker, toaster, spices, dishes. All linens & towels are supplied. Along with its two full baths (one with a garden tub), there is an enclosed outdoor hot-water shower. There are two bicycles available for use. Come relax on the beach, or by the pool, on our private deck...you may hear the owls hooting you to sleep, at night!
