The garden is subtly lit at night to add to the ambience. There is a private drive offering secure parking.

Bottom Bay is a beautiful, peaceful location, far away from the crowds.

Guests are provided with an island guide and maps, as well as our own personal recommendations gathered from our many visits over the years. In addition, our highly praised friendly staff who help to manage and maintain the villa, will do all they can to make your stay in Barbados enjoyable and restful. Our property manager will discuss any requirements you may have and will always be on hand to help with any queries or recommendations you may need. She can even arrange your very own private Bajan chef to come to the villa. Any additional services you may wish to use will be charged locally.

This is a beautiful villa located very close to the beach for your ideal holiday rental in Barbados. All villas are privately owned with a friendly atmosphere amongst the residents in this quiet neighbourhood. We are justifiably proud of our property and sincerely hope that your stay will be the first of many.

Everything has been provided so you can just relax and enjoy your stay from the moment you arrive at your villa in the sun.

A true HIDEAWAY from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

We ask all guests to please note the following:

1. This is NOT a party house and we regret that no large social gatherings are allowed eg. birthday parties, wedding groups, family reunions, etc. If this is your intention, we are happy to recommend other properties that will accommodate this.

2. Only guests named on the original booking are permitted on the property and/or in the villa at any time. No visitors or "new friends" should be invited on to the property without prior permission of the owner. We reserve the right to evict guests immediately who choose not to comply with this request - no refund of rental costs or compensation will be paid by the owner.

3. Electricity consumption - on arrival and departure at hideAway our property manager will take an electricity meter reading. The quoted rental prices include 125 units of electricity per week. Any additional units registered over this amount will be charged to you at cost price and deducted from your security deposit. Note: Our experience has shown that the villa can be comfortably operated on 125 units consumption per week. The excessive use of air conditioning (kept on during the day) and all night pool lighting can increase electricity consumption substantially.

Location description from owner

The Barbados region

Blessed with a sizzling tropical climate and palm-fringed white sand beaches, Barbados is close to paradise. There’s so much to discover – from the natural beauty of tropical flowers and breathtaking rural landscapes, to plantation houses and historic towns proudly preserved in Bajan culture. The gentle, laidback rhythm of the island is both captivating and calming – the perfect combination for a summer holiday. The friendly, fun-loving Bajans are also famous for spicing up the balmy atmosphere with live Caribbean music and colourful calypso dancing.Barbados is an island of FESTIVALS including: the Jazz Festival and wind surfing championships in January, Holetown Festival, Holders season and the Gold Cup in February and March, Gospelfest in May, the famous Crop Over celebrations from July to August, and the surfing championships in November, to mention just a few (I think you'll agree that there's something for everybody).

Bottom Bay

WEDDINGS are very popular on this beautiful island and Bottom Bay beach has become quite "the place" to have your own personalised wedding ceremony. Many of our guests have been on the island to attend a wedding and found hideAway the ideal holiday home to stay in.Emerald City SHOPPING village at Six Roads is less than 10 minutes away with supermarkets, banks, petrol station, Dr, post office and restaurant with children's play area. The large, well-stocked (with local and international brands) supermarket is open every day from 8am to 10pm except on Sundays when it closes at 3pm. This is one of the best supermarkets on the island.Polo, horse riding, biking, Segway, Zip Wire and hiking are all available at various locations on the island.hideAway is located on the beautiful south-east coast of Barbados in the parish of St Philip. There are a number of breathtaking bays and beaches nearby including Foul Bay, The Crane*, Palmetto (Merricks), Harrismith and Sam Lords - to name just a few. There is also excellent surfing within 25 mins drive at Silver Point (South coast) and the world famous Soup Bowl at Bathsheba (East coast). *Named “One of the Top 10 Beaches in the World” by the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous and the BBC’s Holiday program says that Crane Beach is one of the “Top 100 places to see before you die.” There are two nice local bar/restaurants within a 5 min drive of the villa, where both locals, expats and tourists go to eat, drink and enjoy a relaxing time, Marco Polo Grill by the Crane Resort or East Point Grill next to the lighthouse.

“Lovely Villa, quiet location”

Reviewed 16 May 2015

Hideaway was a lovely villa to stay in for a week. It is new, so in very good condition, everything you need is provided and the manager is on hand for anything you require. Only drawback for some may be it's relatively remote location which makes a car essential, but as car hire is not expensive this isn't a problem.Would definitely stay there again.

“Peaceful location, what a chill!”

Reviewed 30 Nov 2014

We have recently returned from a wonderful 2 weeks in barbados, the final week being spent here at hideaway. Peaceful location, we used as a base for exploring the east coast-what a contrast and a must see when on the Island! We visited the Friday fish fry at oistins, also a must! Villa spotless, comfortable and the patio lovely in morning and well into evening with pleasant breeze! Jan and John looked after us very well and are a lovely couple. We will hopefully return!

“Beautiful location”

Reviewed 21 Oct 2013

Just returned from a two week stay at Hideaway at Bottom Bay. Wonderful villa and stunning location. Villa was well equipped with easy access to shops and beautiful sandy beaches. Weather was fantastic with may evenings sat on the terrace watching the resident toad make his or her nightly journey to the front garden. Looking forward to booking next year.

“Bliss from beginning to end!”

Reviewed 10 Nov 2012

Having visited Barbados since the '70's, I was not disappointed with the location of Hideaway. Peaceful, close to a quiet beach, handy for zipping up either coastline in our hire car. The villa itself is just lovely. Well equipped, tastefully furnished. Great to take a dip in the pool at any time of day - or night! It was lovely to be greeted by Jan and to get to know her and John - lovely people! The advice and information they have at their fingertips is amazing. Our only disappointment is that the holiday we had looked forward to for so long is now behind us. We will certainly come back to HideAway as soon as an opportunity presents itself in the future.

We're so glad that you and your family enjoyed our "hideAway" as much as we do and I will certainly pass your kind words onto Jan & John. We would love to welcome you back in the not too distant future :)

“The best holidays of my life!!!!”

Reviewed 15 Sep 2012

“Highly Recommended”The villa is in an ideal quiet location, with excellent facilities, and is very well maintained. Bottom bay 5 min walk is a best beech in Barbados you can recognize on all post cards and magazines! Thank you.

Thank you for the lovely recommendation, and we agree that Bottom Bay is the best beach :)

“Comfortable and Good Value”

Reviewed 23 Feb 2012

HideAway is comfortably furnished and very well maintained. The housekeeping, grounds and pool maintenance were all great while we were there. The pool is small, but very enjoyable. The neighbourhood is quiet and seems safe. Bottom Bay is relatively far from the main tourist areas, so a car is essential. It takes 30 to 40 minutes to drive to most of the main public beaches (including Accra Beach, Miami Beach, Mullins Bay) and tourist attractions. Because the East Coast of Barbados faces the Atlantic , most East Coast beaches including Bottom Bay have a very rough surf and are not good for small children swimming - or if windy like when we were there, not safe for anyone to swim!. The West Coast public beaches are worth the drive, they are beautiful and have great amenities including parking, food, drink, bathrooms, etc. Overall, HideAway is good value and a great base from which to explore Barbados - as long as you are comfortable driving.

“Quiet, well appointed home very close to a beautiful beach”

Reviewed 12 Oct 2011

We had a wonderful time at Hideaway during our stay. The home was just what we needed for our vacation in Barbados and you provided all the information and amenities to further ensure a great and relaxing time. Jan and John (and Lorraine) were very helpful when we needed it (although there was not much that we needed).

“Hideaway : A well kept secret”

Reviewed 4 Sep 2011

Hideaway is situated in an ideal location on the island between the rugged beauty of the east coast and the peaceful calm of the south west. The villa is very well equiped with a high standard of cleanliness, decore and repair. The owners have added thoughtful touches like hand compiled info on the area with lots of interesting detail and a mobile phone for your use whilst there. The meeting and greeting is done by Jan and John who are not only very lovely people but went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure our stay was excellent. The pool and garden are maintained every week by equally friendly blokes. Bottom bay is a piece of paradise and althouhg you cannot swim there Foul Bay is safe for swimming and even more beautiful. The good thing about the location of Hideaway is that it is away from the hussle and bussle of the more crowded west coat. The Island is small and so it is easy to travel pretty much anywhere in a day. Overall we had a two week stay that we will truely remember in comfortable surroundings in a beautiful part of this gem of an island. I can firmly recommend all aspects of this lovely villa which also represents excellent value for money. I reluctantly wtrite thsi review as I woudl really like hideaway to remain a well kept secret.
