WE INVITE YOU TO RELAX AND REJUVENATE AT 'THE CABIN' AT KILKELLYS!

Perched high on a finger ridge of the Eastern Continental Divide, in a gorgeous pristine area of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this luxurious CABIN provides spectacular long-range views, fully comparable to those seen from nearby Blue Ridge Parkway overlooks. From this unique 22-acre ridge-top setting, you are surrounded by tall mountains and deep gorges and valleys, while privately nestled among flowers and gardens.

Privacy and view were key in locating the CABIN. We selected the dramatic end of our finger ridge, well out of sight or sound of our Main House or any other dwellings, and providing the most panoramic views from the property. And to ensure that privacy and serenity, we decided to build just one CABIN. The long-range and layered views from the CABIN are seen from a high and vaulted prospective, extending over 100 miles across natural, undisturbed woodlands and fields. Sunrises and sunsets are varied and magnificent. It's a perfect place to experience dramatic weather changes and cloud formations -- above you and below! Rainbows are frequent and dramatic! And at night, it's a star gazer's dream. With no city lights, the the stars are bright and abundant (we furnish binoculars). And there is no traffic noise to interfere with the orchestral sounds of nature. And WOW, we have NO MOSQUITOES.

This two-story custom built, cedar-log CABIN surrounds you with warmth and elegance. It has two king bedroom suites on separate floors, and there are two comfortable pull-out sofa beds in the game room. You will find a fully appointed (basic stocked) kitchen, a small pantry, and lots of cabinet and counter space. There is comfortable dining for six, both inside and out. And there is a lovely stone gas fireplace, with fine couches and swivel-rocker chairs. With four HD TVs, DVRs and DVD players, the game room includes a 3D TV and a family-fun shuffleboard. On the outside is a covered front porch with an open deck wrapping around to the elevated attached gazebo. There is a full-size gas grill. Below is a covered patio with a 6-person Jacuzzi, lounge chairs, and hammock.

Our property is also very kid friendly! We have outdoor play areas and equipment for children of all ages, including a 45-foot rope swing, a geo-dome, a standard swing set, a corn-hole toss, a regulation horse shoe pit, and a large stone fire pit. There are lots of children and adult games and a wide selection of HD DVDs. We also have an adjustable basketball goal, ping pong table, treadmill, and recumbent bike at the Main House.

The property surrounding the CABIN includes open forest areas, grassy fields, flowering ornamental trees, beautiful landscaping, and seasonal vegetable gardens. And, of course, there are many beautiful adjacent and nearby walking trails and cascading streams.

Enhancing and preserving this beautiful sanctuary is one of our greatest passions - - sharing it with others is another. Our goal is to be one of the most rewarding and rejuvenating vacation destinations in the Appalachian Mountains. Getting around

We are within walking distance of the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway! Take a slow scenic drive stopping off to take in the views or hike, Picnic or shop. We have many excellent taxi services if you prefer not to drive after enjoying the nearby winery or excellent restaurants! We are minutes away from all you need on easy paved roads! Yet when you are here you are in the mountains with incredible views on top of the world!
