From the owner

La Maison des Peintres is a typical village house at the foot of the Géant de Provence, the Mont Ventoux. In a typical Provençal hamlet, it is warm and light-filled, painted in rich Provençal colours. The kitchen, dining and living areas lead onto a sunny terrace that overlooks one of the most beautiful views of cherry orchards, vines and poplars and boasts a high quality gas barbecue. The kitchen is well stocked for stove-top cookery and has a 25 litre combi oven. It is important for us that you have good coffee making facilities and proper glasses for drinking the fine wine of the region as you watch the sun go down. Each bedroom is large with top quality mattresses, pillows, duvets and linens. Towels are fluffy. Everywhere there hang paintings by your host and other painters who have visited. For winter guests, there is an original Godin stove and an open fireplace which keep the place toasty. One of the bedrooms also has a working fireplace. All rooms have electric heaters and fans. There is wifi available throughout and an ipod/phone sound dock in each bedroom.

    Wonderful home, and of course, Ruth is both an amazing host and cello teacher. The home is clean, quiet, charming, spacious, nicely renovated kitchen and bathrooms. Wish I had stayed longer!

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

    How do I edit my booking?

    You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Ruth (the owner) a message.

    If Ruth (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
