Surrounded by orange and lemon groves with olive and almond farms also. There are stunning 360 degree Mountain views, making this property ideally located for cycling, walking, bird watching and nature/wildlife enthusiasts. The village of La Murada is only 1 km, with plenty of typical Spanish bars and restaurants, as well as banks, chemist, supermarkets, several specialist shops, a petrol station and medical centre. BBQ area with access to kitchen via window. Terrace has tables and chairs, sunbeds, recliners and parasols. All bed linen and towels (except beach/pool towels) are provided. Beach/Pool towels are available on request for a small fee. The property is cleaned between lets. Additional cleaning can be arranged at an extra fee. Refundable security/damage deposit of £150 payable on arrival. Supplement of £70 per week for 9th person.

“Lovely area and lovely property.”
From the time of booking to the time we handed back the keys to the property Claire and Martin (property owners) were very helpful and went out of their way to make the holiday as comfortable as possible. The property is situated out of the way of all the noise and bustle that a normal city would bring. Its a very quiet place and has the best of both worlds if you are taking children. It has a pool to keep the kids amused while you can relax and is also a short distance from the town which has supermarkets, bars and a sunday market which is very good. It is also close to main citys if you want to visit waterparks etc. The property is very well presented and is also very clean with plenty space. Myself and my family had an excellent time here and my only small complaint would be that it has no mention in the advert for the property that the property owners actually stay above. I think this would be fair to mention in any future advertisements as i was a bit surprised by this and wouldnt have proceeded with a booking based on that but after the stay it didnt bother me at all and im glad i did book it so dont let this put you off. I just thought i would mention this as im being as honest as i can and everybody has different views/opinions on this subject. All in all a very good holiday with very friendly people and would definetly consider rebooking for next year :)
“Wonderful, so clean and spacious”
What a beautiful place to stay. We spent many an afternoon in the private pool, reading a book and looking over at the mountains. The garden is beautiful, very well kept and looked after. The cave house is quirky, clean and very spacious. We ate in every night as the kitchen was so well equipped. The friendly and easy going owners have obviously done their homework, and fitted the property with everything you need for a 'home from home' stay. We all enjoyed our holiday at the Cave House. We hired a car, which was very cheap, from Alicante Airport. .
“A charming house in a totoally quiet, idyllic location with kind and helpful owners.”
The Cave House is clean, well equipped with a lovely garden and pool and good value. It is blissful lying by the pool when all you can hear are the crickets and birds, yet it is only a few minutes away from La Murada, a typical Spanish village where you can find all you need. The restaurants look like cafes but worth trying as you get a delicious BBQ and salad with a drink for 9euros. Although the Cave House is away from the village it is not solitary and the owners, who were very kind and helpful, live next door. Although you could walk to the village I would recommend a car as there is a lot of interesting things to see and do - the Discover Costa Calida website is very useful. We chose to travel away from the hustle and bustle of the coast and found some interesting places to visit in land - Los Banos de Fortuna is a lovely spa village and really worth a visit. Also, my husband and 19year son (but I know they take younger children) had a fantastic day on enduro bikes with Solmoto, it is just beyond Lorca so about an hours drive but really worth it if you enjoy that sort of thing. I would recommend the Cave House to anyone wanting the traditional villa with private pool experience without it breaking the bank as to add to the villa being value for money the flights to Alicante seem to be cheaper than to anywhere else too.
Great facilities especially the pool and the views, very quiet location but limited shops and restaurants in the immediate area so car hire is essential if you want to explore and have easy access to the more populated locations and the beaches.
“GORGEOUS HOUSE WITH VERY WELCOMING HOST”
This was one of the most relaxing holidays I have ever had. We felt completely at home and Claire was very helpful with everything we asked her. The property is lovely inside and out and very well presented. I would recommend to anyone who wants an away from the madding crowds holiday but would also add that if you want to visit the beaches or towns you will need a car. The village that is closest to buy groceries is not really walkable.

Just back from a great week at the Cave House, a mixed group of 6 cyclists who all enjoyed the area and coming home to a welcoming house with a great pool. Claire made us very welcome and removed all the transfer hassle - even for our bikes! The bedrooms stayed cool at night and the grounds hot by day. Excellent bars and restaurants in the nearby town. Highly recommended.
Well laid out house and garden. Incredibly cool inside despite the heat outside. Very quiet area but within walking distance to shops etc in nearby town. Comfortable beds. Owner very friendly and helpful.
It was perfect for us, our little boy was 5 and our little girl was 18 months the swimming pool was perfect the villa was great and the owners were like friends to deal with i cannot fault it for what we needed
“Great, relaxing family break in southern rural Spain”
We booked the Cave house online based on the information provided, the photographs and the price, for a family of six including four children age six to 13 years, and after email exchanges with the owner who provided location and travelling directions. The property was easy to find and did not disappoint in any way, with its secluded leafy garden with plenty of shaded areas, pool and views of the surrounding countryside. And the house itself was easily large enough to accommodate a larger family, though we spend most time outside rather than in BBQ’ing and eating in the garden. The village was only a very short drive away with one in particular very good supermarket memorable for the great sausages and singing butcher who was able to encourage my kids into speaking Spanish. Other attractions could be found within 30 minutes drive including the very impressive Canelobre Caves at Busot and the lovely historic Cathedral town of Elche with castle, museums, restaurants, bars and cafes. Drives through the various mountain uplands were also a treat, through forests. pick-nicking lake side or stopping for lunch in one of the many villages along the way. The owners were also very friendly, very helpful and flexible, allowing us to say for an extra day when I realised our flight back to Dubai was a day later than I had expected. All-in-all, a very relaxing 3 weeks holiday that went all too quickly!
“A relaxing stay in a charming cave house”
A charming,well maintained spacious cave house with all amenities. The house has lots of room and is in great order with a wonderfull terraced area and a plunge pool, giving views over orange groves. Nearby town is small but has a few bars, shops and banks etc although a car is necessary if you want to go further afield and within easy reach you have Murcia, Alicante and more. I did however take a train from a nearby town to Alicante without any problems. Or you can just enjoy staying in relaxing, peacefull surroundings. Highly reccomend
