“Very clean house in the middle of a rain forest with the beach down the hill” Get the driver that Roy and Lise recommend then you can see the sights and not have to drive on the wrong side of the road. The house might seem too close to the owners but, they have a big Fiji dog with a big bark, so you are really safe. Go fishing and snorkleing with Roy and Lisa. The fishing is great and a good way to see the island.Go to the Fiji villaqe and visit the waterfall. Take the driver to Savusavu and go on Hunter pearls tour. The beach down the hill is black sand and the river is 10 mins to the right a good thing to do is walk the beach and relax. Go to the market in Savusavu and meet Olivia. Try Kava.

“Fabulous lazing in the tropics” Fantastic accommodation; close to Port Vila, but far enough away to be completely private and peaceful. Excellent amenities- great BBQ, easy kitchen, fabulous swimming pool. Sleeping arrangements very suitable- lovely to go to sleep to the sound of the waves and wake up to the birds! We had a 2.5 year old and it was great for him- the pool, exploring the rocky beach and the wildlife. Highly recommended, though definitely get a 4 wheel drive!

“Wonderful family holiday” We went to fiji for a family holiday and to attend a wedding at a nearby resort. We stumbled across Totoka Kalou by accident online and are so glad we did. The owners seem lovely and have put a lot of effort into renting out the house, and providing heaps of information before we left. We felt well prepared for all eventualities. Ramesh was there to welcome us when we arrived after a long overnight flight, and gave as great service and advice. My kids enjoyed snorkeling with him. We also visited a local school, which we really enjoyed. Having his local advice was wonderful. We found the house comfortable, great for our kids, we all sleep well loved the amazing views, and cool sea breezes. The kids loved the movie selection. But really we didn't spend too much time at home. We explored a lot of the local resorts, and swam at the Maui bay pool. Travelling with a one year old was a challenge all round, and the house has a big balcony so we had to really watch him, but we expected that. The bonus was I was able to enjoy some lovely sunrises when he woke me at 6am. We also used our rental car heaps, and were glad we organized a 4wd as Driveway is steep.

“FANTASTIC VACATION!” Dear Pierre. We wanted to thank you very much and let you know we have had a fantastic vacation here and enjoyed our stay at your villa very much! We didn't want to leave paradise! The villa was very quaint, clean, in a nice private and safe location. It really met all our expectations for an excellent vacation here on Bora Bora. Both Daniel and I and our two children were so comfortable and felt so relaxed here. We slept deeply and peacefully each night in the comfy beds and air conditioned rooms.The villa was well stocked and had everything we needed to make our stay feel like home away from home. The view each day from the patio deck was excellent. We would sip our morning coffee there while watching the early morning fishermen and kayakers. We also enjoyed listening to your jazz cd's each evening with our wine and sunset views. My children went snorkeling just across from the villa for many shells. We liked being away from town, but also found it so easy with just a short 10 minute drive there when we needed food and groceries. We also enjoyed being only a 15 minutes drive in the other direction to Matira Beach, which was gorgeous! We went daily to this public beach and stayed all day long. We also got to know The Chin Lee store and The Super U very well this week. They had a very decent selection and variety of foods, produce, snacks and beverages. We found it all very easy and satisfying to prepare many meals here at the villa, which is perfect when traveling with children. We also went out, too. Our favorite restaurant by far was Bloody Mary's. We went last night and are still full from the delicious fresh fish dinner and coconut tart dessert! The Panda D'Or was great too (Chinese food). Besides your sweet villa the highlights of our trip included a full day excursion to snorkel with the manta rays and swim with the sharks. Nathalie and Bartelemy are so wonderful, helpful and so kind. We are thankful for them for picking us up when we arrived and showing us everything in the villa. Bartelemy also supplied my son with fresh coconut this week, which was a treat. Thank you for also being so helpful, patient and accommodating. We felt perfectly clear and secure about all the travel and transit arrangements, villa information and the details we needed to know about before our arrival. Thank you for all your email correspondence and making it all very easy! We will be happy to recommend the villas to our friends and family for future stays. Yumi and Daniel.

“Best lodging deal on the island” We stayed at this villa for two weeks and had a wonderful time. For the price, I think it is the best deal on the island. Eating out is expensive and we saved a lot of money by being able to shop at the grocery store and have meals at home some of the time. It was often more convenient, private and pleasant to have our meals, particularly breakfast, on the large dining table on the porch with a stunning view of the lagoon. We spent quite a lot of time on that porch. It was always cool and shaded. It often had a nice breeze, but it never got too windy, even when it was very windy right down on the road. The house sometimes got a little warm in the afternoons, but the porch was always pleasant. Everything cooled down enough at night for sleeping, sot the aC in the one bedroom was not really necessary, but a nice plus. The house is set up from the road far enough that there is almost no road noise. It is within sight of the airport, but we almost never heard the planes. The view is gorgeous and the location is convenient. I was able to have one of the dive companies pick me up on "our" dock so I didn't have to drive to go diving that day. I think you get a lot more for your money staying in a house than in a motel or even in one of those overwater bungalows. Those things look cute, but are pretty small and set very close together. We liked our big two bedroom house with its huge airy porch much better. Be warned that the driveway is steep and scary at first. And parking is challenging up there. I got used to it pretty quickly and was soon an expert parker. Just don't rent a big car. Andif you are troubled by mosquitos on the porch (mostly early morning and evenings), they sell those mosquito coils in town. They worked well enough for me that I never had to spray bug stuff on myself. I just sat near the coil, read my book and enjoyed the view. Lovely.
