Hidden gem

As a family of 2 adults, 2 grown teenagers and a dog, it wasn’t easy to find the right type of accommodation in central Rouen. This was a fantastic find. It was exactly what we wanted and then some. Clean, modern, comfortable beds and an well stocked kitchen. Large rooftop terrace with a bbq and lots of furniture, a clean and well maintained jacuzzi. There was a safe covered space for our car too. Vincent was a delight to deal with. We were aware the exterior May put you off but it wasn’t a problem. Easy walk into central Rouen. Norman impressions
Better than expected

This place is straight out of a magazine. Plenty of room in the house and a magnificent garden to explore. Lots to see and visit in the area. Good contact with the owner and a very helpful neighbour on hand. Lots of birds and flowers in the garden and loads of outdoor seating. Private parking with a dog secure drive and garden. A lovely holiday

We have had 2 lovely weeks in the Gite. It is very comfortable and had everything we needed. Mark and Mel are very friendly and welcoming hosts and left us a very nice welcoming pack. The area is quiet but within reach of many interesting places and restaurants. Chez Paul and Eliane
A great place to stay in Normandy

We have just spent a lovely week here at Coulombs. Our host Paul speaks good English, so if your French is not as good as you would like, or non existent, there is no need to worry! The Gite was very clean and contains pretty much everything you need. The gas hob and oven is easy to use, a microwave for quick dinners, and a dishwasher too! The lounge is spacious, Large fridge, with a small freezer gave us plenty of space for all our french food purchases! A Tv and DVD PLAYER too. There is much mention of internet issues in other reviews, but we had no issues and had a great internet connection anywhere in the Gite The two bedrooms are spacious and plenty of cupboard/storage space , with all bedding and linen provided by our host The downstairs shower and toilet was clean and tidy and towels are provided also The local village at Creully has two bakeries and is only 5-10 minutes away The very large LeClerc supermarket at Bayeux is only 15 minutes away on the N13, and served us well The LeClerc Petrol station is 500 m from the supermarket However it only takes payment by card. (USE a SEPARATE bank card when paying for fuel . ONLY HAVE ENOUGH MONEY ON THE CARD TO COVER FOR THE AMOUNT YOU WANT TO PAY If you have money on the card, the pump will TAKE IT ALL FOR 48 hrs! This could leave you with no money!) Access to the road system N13 is quick and easy and Cherbourg and Ouistraham are easy. Ouistraham is only 30 minutes away D-Day beaches and museums are all easily reached and within 50 minutes or less All in all , a great place to stay , with a friendly host. Thank you Paul … see more

Le Grand Val is a super home to rent. Everything we could want was to hand. There was no need to take any games, books, equipment for your holiday as it was all supplied.
