“A treasure to be discovered” What a wonderful few weeks we had at La Chatouillette last summer (Aug 2012). Josie and allan are wonderful hosts, who respect your privacy, but are always on hand to help out, offer advice about places to visit or lend books, games, etc. The accommodation is great - clean, comfortable and there was everything you could need. Our 16 year old daughter had a fab time here and has fond memories - especially of the wildlife she connected with and the fish she caught too! What a great induction to fishing. Talking of fishing - wow! The biggest fish we ever caught! It's also good to know that Josie and allan take great care of these wonderful creatures and the environment they are in, as well as the beautiful environment that surrounds them. We can't wait to return to this haven in the French countryside. A definite must!

“Bliss - couldn't ask for more!” Wow what a gem this is! Travelled with family including 2 young children, the hosts Rob & Debbie were amazing, they were friendly, excellent with the children and nothing was too much trouble. The grounds are amazing and ideal for children. Rob had endless games/sports equipment for the children to occupy them which meant we could sit on the terrace and relax with some vino! The rooms were perfect. We had the family suite (which occupies the whole top floor in the main house) which was ideal with 2 bedrooms and our own bathroom. Very private and practical. Easy to find with sat nav and in a beautiful location. The breakfast was lovely and the fresh pastries are so much tastier than home, there was everything you would need. Came home truly relaxed and will def be back next year - Would recommend this to all!

“Terrific house in a beautiful valley, perfect for a relaxing holiday with plenty of places nearby to visit” Just enjoyed a lovely week in a really nice house set in a tranquil valley.. Nicely furnished, quiet and relaxing. All the amenities you could wish for. Very much enjoyed the indoor pool and using the games room. Very good base for visiting the region, made several trips to the coast, and lots of chateaux to visit. Will be looking to stay again

“Ideal for base to tour round Normandie” I went to to this Gite with my family and had a great time. it is in a lovely part of Normandie with lots of history a great place to have as a home base to start touring round all the historic sites there are to visit. the gite its self is kept very clean and has all you need to start and finish your day. The family running it are very friendly and helpfull nothing is to much bother. my family and i enjoyed are self so much we are hoping to go back next .

“Excellent stay in Quality Accomodation - Highly recommended” We enjoyed a lovely week in David and Lynda's 2 bedroom accomodation, which is superbly equipped and set in beautiful grounds. Ideal to use as a base from which to explore Normandy, the beautiful towns, villages, countryside and as we did, the D Day beaches, museums, memorials etc. Bessin is only a short drive or walk and is not busy or over commercialised, neither is the rest of Normandy which is a big bonus too! And everywhere is immaculately kept and very clean! Highly recommended to all for a very enjoyable, peaceful holiday with all the facilities you will need.

“Fantastic Easter Break” Have just returned from a most relaxing weekend at Haraz du Gazon even with five teenagers to keep amused ! From the moment we arrived in after just under a four hour drive from Calais we felt welcomed. Not just from the very approachable hosts but from the beautiful horses in the stables and fields all around us. The gite sleeps twelve comfortably , the kitchen is very well equipped and there are enough spaces to get lost in, to read a book and unwind. For the sporty there are bikes, pool, table tennis , badminton and even an undercover swimming pool. We enjoyed an Easter egg hunt in the beautiful grounds. Shopping in the nearby town of Falaise is easy and we had a great traditional French meal in one of the restaurants there. My memories will be drifting off to sleep after a day exploring and enjoying the local wine and cheese to the sound of the horses whinnying to each other below. Bliss !
