“Paradise Retreat” Krista went above and beyond in accommodating our group from the moment we contacted her until our reluctant departure from this wonderful place. The complex was very quiet and peaceful, with beautifully kept grounds (yes, you may walk past some vacant buildings in the complex, not a problem for us and definitely not a safety issue). We had the pleasure of renting units 2185&2186. From the moment we walked in, the island atmosphere enveloped us! The units are very nicely furnished, have modern appliances (no dw in 2186, but not a problem), and are supplied with everything you will need (and more!) for a very easy, comfortable stay. The views from the lanai are awesome! It's evident that the owners, Rick & Krista take much care in making their guests feel at home.If you are looking for a relaxing retreat, this is the place! The property is close to several nice, uncrowded beaches, and quiet walks, but maybe a bit far from town for some (we saw that as an advantage!) The small store on site does have some emergency necessities and other things (quite a big swimsuit selection!)and was a fun place to go. Krista provided us with a lot of very useful info on local services and activities and was absolutely wonderful to work with! We found these units to be the perfect place to escape to- exactly as advertised. We will definitely be returning!

“Great view and the roosters wake you up in the morning.” The view of the ocean from the deck is awesome and the swimming pool is right there, and if you want, you can walk into town. It's quiet and great for sleeping, and I got use to the roosters after a day or two.

“West End is Heaven!” West End Looking out across the arid desert. Surf slapping the beaches of the bending coves. 6 days in paradise, so many things to do. Soft, quiet song of a bird, peacock. Rosie's lanai. North or south? Day two, south. Dixie Maru. Swimming in Heaven. Snorkeling, a little cloudy, turtle. Wait, two turtles! Wandering north today. To the quiet beaches out towards the point. First beach gorgeous, swim, read. Hike across the rocks, wait, could this really get better ? Sting ray, clever colorful fish, swim to your heart's desire, yes. Off to explore the east end. The lush Halawa Valley, double blue cove. Pretty, lush, the two waterfalls so inviting for a long hike and swim. Dying to wander up valley, just me and Tom. Respect the locals and their sacred valley. The Jeep is feeling lonely and needs a little fun, too. Time to explore Molokai Ranch, so much history. Roads snake from Mauna Loa, red clay, fences. Down to the harbor, outrigger canoe. Two beaches down, total seclusion, skinny dip Just returned from Kawakiu Beach. Rode mountain bikes for magical sunset. Surf was up, way up, boogie boards? Twilight, rocky ride uphill, break a sweat. Rose's lanai, relax, read, write. Last day is tomorrow. Sad. Could we stay an extra week? Kids, work, responsibility. Will explore the entire west end by bike. Fins, snorkel, mask.
