We stayed at Villa Rea for 2 weeks in July and found it very comfortable. It is a large and spacious villa and also stylish and well equipped. We were extremely pleased when we arrived at the villa as it was even better than the photos on the website and bigger than expected. The owner, Nikolaos, met us in Kremasti (despite having to wait ages for us due to some problems with our hire car) and took us to the villa. He was always ready to help us with information and suggestions of places to visit and was an hospitable host.
The villa has air conditioning which is very welcome in the summer heat. The pool is warm even though it is unheated but also refreshing and the garden is attractive and well maintained. The wi-if at Villa Rea is excellent and the television has access to many English speaking channels. We found the villa to be clean and well looked after, in fact we could find no fault with it and were delighted with our choice.
The small town of Kremasti is a 10 minute stroll away and there are lots of bars and restaurants there. We visited many of them and all were friendly and offered good food and drinks. They are also less expensive than those in Rhodes town. Of particular note were Italo's, with very tasty pizza and pasta and Thomas and Mike's bar. Thomas was absolutely delightful and went out of his way to ensure we were happy.
It is a short walk from the town to the sea. The beach is mainly pebbly but uncrowded and pretty. There is usually a lovely breeze to cool you and the water is clean and refreshing.
Everybody we met in Kremasti was welcoming and hospitable and it is a good base from which to explore Rhodes. We would not hesitate to return. …
