“Peacefull house in authentic Crete” My wife and myself rented Terracotta for quiet holidays and stayed 2 weeks.
Mark and Mandy were very helpfull and nice and very reactive in the email exchanges and fully available to answer our numerous questions.
The house :
Waked up by goats' bells sound on the hill, enjoying a nice greek yogurt & honey on the terrasse with sunshine & sea view, quick dive in the pool and sunbathing and sipping a cup of tea under the pergola, and enjoying a glass of wine while watching the stars (no "city lights" pollution)... This place is amazing for relaxing.
The kitchen is modern and very well furnished, the living room nice for laying in the couch and read a book while looking at the sea. Master bedroom is very cosy with its own nice bathtub and you get a very nice sea view.
The location :
Perfect for farniente and to get away from touristic areas. You reach the village or nice creeks in less than 2 minutes by car. Local tavernas serve simple and yummy greek cuisine.
We would definitively recommend terracotta villa for the house itself and the kindness of the owners, thanks again!
“very nice house, and location” I am writing this review at the request of the owner, I assume they have just joined the trip advisor site, before i start, this holiday was several years aqgo so some things may well have changes, so all comments are based on time of travel ,and are therefore not recent.
!st, i remember well, that Mark Bulloock is english, and all the arrangments we made where dealt with with great ease, and no question was to much trouble to answer, the directions were fantastic, and bearing in mind we had a night flight, we only went wrong once!!!, the track to the accommodation is a little intresting, a dirt track with a few intresting bends, but you soon get used to it, and once there the views are to die for, as said this was some time ago, so things may have changed, i would recommend a 4x4, and again this was arranged with mark.
The accomodation is great, every thing you need for a comfortable stay, including air conditioning and a great pool (there was some work going on at the rear of the property, so can not comment on this, as i assume it will have been completed by now, a nice size swimming pool and well maintained by some friends of theres that live a few kilometers up the road, and are available if you have any problems, the location is great for exploreing the area, which is of the normal tourist areas, the local village has everything you need, and i would recommend the taverna, nearest to the square, the owner is a white look alike bob marley, and great fun (if he is still there),
all in all we had a very pleasant stay here, and would highly recommend it for a get away from it holiday, but with local amineties.
Again I must stress this was a few years ago so some things may well have changed, but I am sure that Mark would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have, he was very good to us, and I must stress we do not know them from a social point of view, only from booking this little gem of a house

The Stonehouse with private pool and quiet setting
The stone house was a lovely villa, clean and tidy. The pool was a good size for our family of 4. The road leading up to the villa was very steep and bumpy but once at the villa the views were worth it. A lovely welcome platter was left for us with a few bits to get us through the first day. The WiFi was a bit on and off but it turns out you need the upstairs blinds open to get the signal, once we figured that out it was fine.lovely local beaches are worth a visit and the snorkelling was amazing. I would recommend this villa to anyone looking for a very peaceful holiday away from all tourist spots. Lovely owners who we saw a few times as he checked the pool etc, they also made great cookies for our kids one day. …
