“Most relaxing vacation ever” My wife and I stayed at Barb & Hanks cottage for 12 days this last Feb(2013). It was the most relaxing vacation we have ever had. Every morning we drank our coffee on the lanai overlooking the green and luscious valley that leads down to the ocean. Most mornings there was a light rain and you could hear the waterfall in the distance. The way the cottage is situated it makes it very private. One whole side is protected by the valley and pasture mentioned above, with not a house in sight. The rest of the cottage is surrounded by Barbara & Hanks' beautiful plants, trees, and flowers giving it a "tropical island" feel. Everything in the cottage is first class and it includes everything you would need. We enjoyed coming home from a day of exploring and relaxing by putting on some island music and using the gas grill to cook steaks and/or fish for dinner. My wife and I agree that the king size bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Finally the location of the cottage was perfect. It's far enough away from the touristy attractions to give you the "real" Hawaii feel; yet, you are only minutes away from restaurants and grocery stores. South side beaches are 20 minutes away. It is simply an "awesome" place to stay!!
