“A piece of heaven!” This condo is centrally located, and if you do activities that leave Ma'alaea harbor, it's a 2 minute walk. The harbor also has some great restaurants and shops. The lanai was incredible! Great for watching the sunrise and eating your breakfast and even better for romantic dinners. The view was spectacular, and we could hear the ocean 24/7. Everything you could want is in this condo (fully stocked kitchen, beautiful bathroom with large shower, boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, coolers, info on the island, etc.), and the bed is incredibly comfortable too. We had the time of our lives! What a wonderful place to stay!

“The most awesome vacation***ever***” My son, his girlfriend and my husband wanted to come to Maui but the prices of the hotel rooms were totally unaffordable. After many *weeks* of reading the reviews and looking at the pictures of hundreds of condos on Maui, I called Susan. I have never rented a condo before and I had tons of questions and was very skeptical about giving my credit card information out. Susan was so understanding about all my concerns and reassured me about the process. I can't begin to tell you how glad I am that I found her. Everytime I would email or call there was almost an instant response. I find that amazing. Now on to the condo review. The instructions that we were given to check in were spot-on. When we opened the door, it was fabulous. The location is awesome. It is in a very quiet area in Maalaea. No screaming kids. Very central to everything on the island and being close to the harbor for fishing and snorkeling trips was wonderful. I was very happy to find that the condo was very clean and looked just like the pictures on the internet. We needed some privacy for both my husband and myself and my son and his girlfriend and this condo provided this. Bedrooms and bathrooms on either end of the unit. The thing I loved the most is that it is on the 1st floor and next to the last condo on the end. It is so nice to walk out your lanai door from either the living room or the bedroom and go directly to the beach with out having to climb down stairs. At night the kids would take the lawn chairs out and sit by the ocean for their own quiet time. The grass at the unit was well manicured and like being on a golf course. Everything we needed for our stay was provided, plenty of towels, snorkle equipment, boogie boards and cooking essentials. Having the washer and dryer was great. Staying in this condo was an amazing experience and as far as my family is concerned we are already saving up to come back next year. Thanks again Susan for sharing your wonderful home with us.
“We love Maalaea and Maalaea Banyans!” We love Maalaea because it is away from the crowds but centrally located so nothing is very far away. This is our third or fourth stay at this unit in Maalaea Banyans and it now feels like our home away from home. Side note: working with the owner Nikta is a breeze. There's a little sandy beach just below your balcony and while we were there, it was visited every morning at high tide by several hungry honu (sea turtles) feeding on the limu on the rocks. We could see their little heads bobbing out of the water as we sipped our coffee. The unit is just the right size for two people and it has everything you need. It has a complete kitchen (including a dishwasher), washer/dryer, and even wi-fi if you simply can't be away from your email. The unit is beautifully renovated and super clean. In the evening, if you open the bedroom windows and the screen to the balcony, a nice breeze blows right through. There is a nice pool but we didn't use it much because the beach is right there. The surf is very mild so you can swim and snorkel. We saw many people paddle-boarding and snorkeling. There's a bigger sandy beach at the end of the road (you can walk there in 3-4 minutes). Since we visited in November we were almost alone on the beach. If your idea of Maui is quiet relaxation, we would highly recommend staying here. We will definitely go back. Oh Nikta also added a keypad lock so you don't need to carry keys when you go down to the pool or beach. This was really convenient.

“This is my new "happy place"” No matter how much research done before traveling, one never knows exactly what to expect. This wonderful condo does not disappoint. The views, living spaces, and area all combine to soothe your senses. You are indeed in someone else's home, and Cynthia has made sure you have everything you need. We loved it all; the feeling you are among real people gets even better when you walk (a very short distance) over to the Harbor Village, eat at Beach Bums, take the bus around Maui (bus stop just across the street from whale-watching boats), and shop the local crafts show in the Village. This is a great place for kids and adults. We whale-watched, rode the entire North Shore in a rental car (fun, but hairy), went to Lahaina, saw the "Ulalena" show, rode to Hana and returned the "back way", and this condo was the perfect launching point for all of these junkets. Thank you, Richardsons, and thank goodness we found you! We stayed in a resort on our last trip to Maui, and didn't get the local flavor we found within a day of visiting your island home. Mahalo

“Lovely Maalaea condo!” This was a wonderful "home away from home" for our get-away to Maui. Maalaea is a nice, central location, but set away from the crowds. We spent several days scuba diving near Lahaina, a beautiful 30-minute drive away. This condo complex seems to be occupied largely by retirees/owners, which makes it quiet and peaceful. The up-scale restaurant next door, "The Waterfront" is fantastic, and there are several other more casual restaurants at the harbor (in walking distance). Just a couple things that weren't clear to us from the ad: the beach is not directly in front of the condo -- it is about a 5-10 min. walk down the road (no access along the water), but there are lawn chairs on grass overlooking the ocean in front of the condo; also, the washer/dryer is in a shared laundry room down the hall and requires quarters. Overall, a lovely place to stay!!
