“Carlingford '22” 5 Mammies and 11 children had a fantastic few days in this lovely, warm spacious house. There was loads of room for us all both in and out side. The house was clean,very comfortable and exceptionally well stocked. The mattresses are particularly comfy! It was an easy stroll into town where we enjoyed pier jumping and a few delicious meals. Finn put on a great show for us in Greenore! Loads to do and see in this beautiful spot. We'll definitely be back to stay in this gorgeous home away from home. Thanks Marie.

“Superb !!!” Ive been across to Mcavoy cottage countless times now, and i hope to return countless more. It has been upgraded recently and done in a style in-keeping with this style of property. Very comfortable, has everything you need and can sleep 8 comfortably and your guaranteed the most peaceful sleep you'll have had in years.The cottage(and its cracking 18th century fireplace) is worth visiting alone !!! For me,there is nowhere better for a long weekend visit, or even longer. There's plenty to do and the house is ideally situated for travelling into Dundalk or visiting cracking places like Carlingford or Blackrock. Dublin is only 40 minutes away and Belfast not much more !!! And theres even bikes for you to use and id highly recommend this to take it some of the local scenery. The all weather race track is 5 minutes away,plenty of golf courses near by,countless bars all of which are worth a visit and do cracking Guinness,and great food to be had in places like the Lisdoo or Mcgeoughs. Cant recommend this place highly enough.

“Lovely cottage” We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children) who stayed in the accomadation for 2 nights while attending Feile 2018. The owner was very welcoming & kindly provided a welcome pack which was very much appreciated. (Milk,OJ,cornflakes). The owner also suggested we visit Slieve Gullion forest park as she thought our daughter of 6yrs would love it. She wasn’t wrong. We had an amazing day at the park. The park had a big play area, forest fairy walks and a lovely cafè. We loved it. The park was about 30 mins from the cottage. The accomadation was lovely and clean with all mod cons. Beds were very comfy too. It’s a little tricky to find as it’s off the beaten track and down a very narrow lane way. Luckily for us the link to google maps the owner provided led us straigh to the door. Overall we had a lovely stay and the cottage fulfilled our needs.

“Great Week” We already stayed 6 times in this nice cottage nest to the sea. Coming to this cottage is always like coming home. The hous has a great view over the Sea all across to Dundalk and the coastline. There is always a very warm welcome with fresh homemade scones and homemade jam. Also the cottage is nicely decorated and very clean and neat. You can always go to the beach on a privat path and find you will find it nice and quiet. Also there are a lot of nice Restaurants and Pubs around where you can have diner or a drink. If you want you can cook yourself in this nice big kitchen with great view. You will find good shopping placeses in Dundalk and Newry and a lott of other interesting Locations to go to. You should have a car to get around. We enjoy always our weeks in this house no matter what time of the year.
