“A little bit of heaven” Wonderful weekend in a fabulous house in a picturesque corner of ireland. Everything was perfect. The moment we set foot in the house it was so welcoming....so tastefully designed and attention to detail was second to none. There was nothing missing and we had to make ourselves leave the house as it was just so comfortable and all you needed for the perfect escape!
“Lovely house” The house is great, 5 decent bedrooms, and acres of space downstairs , we were a group of 10, 6 adults and 4 younger kids, and we really enjoyed the space both inside and space for kids either out on the deck or playing in the play area. There are no front gates so important to keep a good eye on younger ones but overall good room for a group of that size or bigger.
You can see the sea in the distance which is nice.
The house is approx half way between kilmuckridge village and Morriscastle beach, even though neither are too far we found we drove as it wasn't practical to walk with small children on small country roads and no paths.
We didn't have to travel too far for entertainment, Wells house is only 10 mins drive which is nice family spot with walks (fans of the gruffalo books will spot characters dotted around the walks). Courtown about 20min drive with some kiddie entertainment or Kia ora pet farm was a nice day out too.
If weather is good the beach at Morriscastle is lovely and sandy proper beach.
If the weather is bad there are loads of board games, lego , some dvds and computer games etc in the house for people to entertain themselves, even a choice of books left in case you didn't bring one.
The owner and local contact for the owner were both very nice and helpful if any issues arise.
In conclusion the accommodation suited us very well, and offered more space than having to rent two smaller holiday homes.
“12 The Clovers Fethard-On-Sea” No 12 The Clovers Fethard on Sea is a geat location to stay, a lovely house with all mod cons , clean with great decking area and garden out back that gets the sun all day. Barbara was great to deal with very helpful and thoughtful leaving gift for our mother who was celebrating her 85th birthday . A really nice touch on arrival . Thanks Barbara for everything your personal touch is not something always experienced nowadays
“Dream of exploring Ireland” On arrival, we were we fell in love with the area and nice quite Town. The enclosed court yard was wonderful, and the cottages were nicley done, with facilities to the elderly and disable a like.( ramps for wheelchairs/handles in bathroom downstairs)
The Owners were really great, prepared us all the necessary daily items, milk, toiletries, wine and a cake for our arrival. They even clearly marked the Cottage from the inside window, clearly indicating it and a welcome note.
We have a wonderful week, roaming around in the soth part of Ireland, and when we were at the Cottage, enjoyed the pets in the fields ( Donkeys, chickens etc) and the harmony of the singing birds in the early morning hours.
