“Just what we needed” We were 2 adults and 3 children plus one elderly family dog.
We fell in love with this beautiful home. The owner and caretaker went to a lot of trouble to make sure we had all the info we needed in advance and during our stay . T

Thank you for taking the time to review- its marvellous to get feedback. We put a lot of care into making sure that the house is pristine for each guests' arrival and that the grounds are well maintained ,colourful and interesting reflecting a typical period country residence - and hopefully our various picnic spots inspire restful hours with good cheeses and a glass or two of prosecco!
Our own children are 7 and 5 yrs so it is important for us that we know that they are safe and happy in the cottage and grounds. I have a background in interior design so its design and character are important for us and our own regular visits to Scar Bridge Cottage ensure that for own comfort it is well equipped and cosy. Hopefully our own needs match yours!
We'd love to welcome you back anytime - winter too is good with the large open fire and aga taking centre stage alongside the numerous local restaurants/pubs and refreshing beach walks !Not to forget The world famous opera Festival
Many thanks again for your kind comments- much appreciated

Scar Bridge Cottage - Kilmore Quay
A thoroughly relaxing week with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable.
The cottage is in a lovely location with lots of attractions nearby. We loved the local fish and chips plus taking the dogs and children to the beach. Kay welcomed us and showed us around the cottage before leaving us to enjoy our holiday. The cottage was comfortably furnished with everything on hand that we needed to spend a comfortable week.
A thoroughly enjoyable week!! …
Kilmore Quay The Haven
Idyllic Location-Fabulous cottage
Kilmore Quay has always been a favorite location of ours, but this cottage was the best we have ever stayed in in this area. The terrace around two thirds of the property with panoramic sea views and lovely garden furniture meant we had the benefit of the amazing weather all day and could sit out at night. Inside the property was beautifully furnished and spacious and the mattress was one of the most comfortable we had slept on-indeed we are ordering one for ourselves!! We had a great week in Kilmore Quay and the proximity of the cottage to the village amenities pleased the whole party from grandma to teenage sons. John was great host and looked after us well with lots of information tips inluding about free transport to Marry Barrys in kilmore village- a must to visit. Our electricity for the week for five guests cost ten euros. with at least one shower a day each. Will certainly be returning. …
Marina View, Kilmore Quay, Wexford, Ireland
Amazing week in a real gem of a place
From the moment we booked our trip the owner was helpful and efficient. Pre-travel she gave us tips on places to visit and briefed me on who'd meet us with keys / local info etc. The lady who met us couldn't have been more helpful with superb local knowledge.
The apartment was super, bigger than expected and beautifully appointed with everything we needed - and more. My 7 year old daughter was delighted with the park just across the road and the proximity of the lovely sandy beaches - and the all important ice-cream store!
Kilmore Quay is an absolute gem of a place with beautiful beaches, exceptionally friendly people and fabulous places to eat - I can't wait to go back! …
