“Great house, fantastic location” Really brilliant house. Very comfortable with plenty of space. Short walk into town although this can be a bit tricky with traffic, taxis are plentiful and prompt. Highly recommended.

Drumconrath, Ardee, County Meath - 14059
Compact and cozy rural getaway

Very well presented, neat and compact cottage with all modern amenities (except WiFi!). Heaps of solar hot water, even on rainy days (and an electrical backup for the winder). Crisp clean linen sheets on comfortable beds. A shared bathroom between the bedrooms (with 2 doors) and another next to the kitchen. A full setup kitchen and bathroom, both spotlessly clean, were well appreciated. There is nothing within walking distance (not even walking paths once you get to the end of the road) but enormous amounts to see within a 20 minute drive. Get up to an hour and that includes all of Dublin and almost gets you to Belfast. Newgrange is impressive. Old Mellifont Abbey is worth a visit just to see the monk's bathroom, the Boyne, Hill of Tara and lots more besides. You can also spend a relaxing day in the cottage watching the cows walk up the hill to get milked, and then walk back down again. Much more interesting than it sounds! A tip: there is a good supermarket 5 minutes drive away in Adlee - going there is MUCH better than paying €8.40 for 2 bottles of milk and a small jar of peanut butter at the Drumconrath "Convenience Store" (the petrol station). That place is best avoided, but by all accounts the pubs and eating places in Drumconrath are worth partaking of.see more
Smithstown House Dunshaughlin Co Meath. East Irl
Ideal

I have given this accommodation 5 star because it fulfilled the needs of our group. There were 5 of us girls and each one of us had our own bed unlike other holiday accommodation trying to fit us all in to double beds. The bathrooms and bedrooms were immaculate and very comfy. I think the 'cleaner' ran out of steam when it came to cleaning the kitchen area, since the oven and some cooking trays and items had not been cleaned. We could have moaned to James about this but it was only a minor issue especially as the house and area is so beautifully placed, with plenty of green to walk around, and bicycles for use to enjoy the surrounding countryside. James was really kind and helpful, and responded to our questions with a wealth of useful information about places to visit in the surrounding area, the distance, the best way to get there, yet he did not intrude on our privacy. I would definitely go back there again.see more
Hideaway at Foxhollow
A little taste of heaven!

I can honestly say this is one of the best houses we have ever stayed at. June and family are excellent hosts and can't do enough to help if needed. For a start the location is excellent for visiting the many historical sites e.g, Slane castle, the high crosses and easy access to Dublin etc. Very private property with beautiful surroundings and birds singing morning to night. The attention to detail in the house is a delight with flowers, homemade scones, woodburning stove alight creating a cosy, warm welcome. The welcome hamper is full of goodies and definitely the best hamper to date in our 25 years experience of self catering holidays. Quality bedding, towels, really can't fault this property. I could go on singing the praises of this house but you definitely get what you pay for and more. You wont be disappointed.see more

Wonderful

The house is a home from home and has everything you need for all the family. Trudy is so welcoming and not intrusive at all. This was a family break with three generations and we all loved it and would definitely go back. We explored trim castle went to tayto park and funtasia water resort,Dublin zoo and Newgrange, all a drive away but worth itsee more
Arch Court
A quiet cocoon, like at home.

If you need green quiet countryside, a bit of freshness, Boyne Valley is it. Arch court is in the middle of everything (Dublin, Belfast, the castles (of game of thrones), the ancient celtic culture...). The people around are all very friendly always ready for a chat if you wish, the pubs are a great experience. Don't misss slane castle and its whiskey distillery. Elizabeth and her children are so welcoming always caring about your needs and ready for good advice. Really the place to go.see more
