“A hill-top idyll” A very comfortable modern villa on top of a hill with amazing views north to the sea, south to the White Mountains and olive groves all around. Not overlooked by any other property and a very good location away from the beach, yet within easy striking distance of Platanias and a good base for trips away. Wonderful pool and good facilities, although we couldn't find the promised CD collection and the lawn has been replaced by flowers; at least some lawn might be nice. Some 250 Dvds to choose from for siesta time, albeit most of them never went to the big screen and are of fairly mediocre quality. The cicadas were deafening to start with and quite early risers, but you get used to them. The bedrooms are fine but not overly luxurious and perhaps a little small. Good aircon and large airy central room, with a kitchen table for 10 (12 would be a squeeze). Basement studio (sleeps 2 + sofa bed) is quiet but the drainage wasn't great as it became quite smelly towards the end of the day; however, you wouldn't notice it if you didn't use the basement. Master bedroom very comfortable but odd to have a bath (even if it does have a jacuzzi) as a shower would have been much more useful in the heat. Very well managed property, kept clean by a very efficient lady who also helped put together a simple lunch. Helpful local information from the property manager and the restaurants he recommended were very good; the crate of oranges he supplied were delicious. A great venue and fully recommended, although we were surprised by the request for a 500 euro cash damages deposit on day one (which had not been flagged up anywhere).

“Amazing!” We had a great stay at Villa Penelope! There was plenty of space and the view was phenomenal. We also had a lot of fun in the pool. I would go back in a heart beat if I could! Penelope was also very kind and helpful throughout the week, bringing us tasty oranges to eat and showing us where the markets were. My favorite part of our stay was the short distance that the Villa was to many small beaches and markets. Even without renting a car we were able to experience what we wanted to by renting bikes.

“Fantastic time spent in Sfinari!” It's well below zero here in Bergen Norway tonight when our thoughts go back to an absolutely fantastic 3 days spent in Sfinari as guests at one of Vassilis's great apartments - the antonia. Everything - from arrival to our goodbye - was so perfect! We long back to the warmt and friendly stay at villa antonia and wish we soon would be able to experience the nice, calm and beautiful village of Sfinari, with the few, but really nice restaurants (especially the one close to the road with the splendid sunset). Thank you very much for the hospitality and for making it an unforgettable time! Tanja & Jan :-)

“Great Greek Week” My wife and I with our one year old daughter had a really good week in Villa Klio. The Villa was clean and well kept. There were quite a few little things that meant this couldn't be a perfect review, but nothing that would stop us from going back. When we arrived there was no hot water, and the air con was broken in one room, but both of these were resolved the following morning. Other than that it's just very minor things, that if fixed would make the place perfect. The parasol by the pool was broken and there were no wall mounts for either of the showers in the villa. The kitchen wasn't very well equipped, for example, there was no large knife - made chopping a water melon very tricky. A brush was provided for washing up, but no cloth for wiping surfaces. Like I said, pretty minor stuff. That's the negatives over and done with. Our one year old loved the place, exploring all the different areas and making friends with the local cats. We enjoyed the choice of 4 eating areas, 3 of which are outside. Breakfast on the balcony in the sun was lovely, then there was by the pool and a shaded table outside the kitchen/lounge area. The garden was beautifully kept. There are double doors to outside from every room, making the place light and airy, and there aircon throughout if that's your thing. The location was nice and quite - if you want a nearby city or town, then this probably isn't for you. There are a few small eateries around, all of which seemed ok at reasonable prices. The best food seemed to be served at restaurants on the beach. To sum it up, it was a great place, and we'd happily go back.
