“Extraordinary week in Normandy.” I spent a few days in the home and it was wonderful. The owner was very kind and willing to make the stay as comfortable as possible. I got a different treatment in Normandy than what I did in Paris or other big cities, people in Normandy are much nicer.
The home was really nice; it's actually a pretty big house. The room was comfortable and had a great view of the garden.
The location is great, there are many things to do either in the town or in the villages nearby. In the town the Cathedral is beautiful (and you have a great view of it when you leave the house), also there are some ancient tapestries of Bayeux that are really interesting. In the towns nearby you have different options: if you are interested in Wwii you can go to Omaha Beach, the american Cimetery, or arromanches. If you prefer a greater French feeling then I would recommend Port en Bessin, a beautiful town by the beach. Arromanches is also nice even if you aren't interested in Wwii, it has a great view of the sea.
What I liked the most was the experience in general. It was a different France than what I was used to, and I definitely want to go back again. What I liked the least is that it rained once, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the stay.
