“The most relaxing of holidays” My wife & I have just returned from our second two week stay at Francis & Maica's lovely villa, and it was just as good as the first, so peacefull & relaxing.
We would have no hesitation in reccomending this villa to anyone, it really is that good.
You could not wish to meet two nicer people, who make sure you enjoy your stay, we enjoy it so much we are hoping to return again for next year.
“Absolutely fantastic” This villa is beautiful. We were very nervous about going abroad for the first time with our 2 children, but this was all we expected and more. Adele is so helpful with everything and the villa really is like home from home. We search for hours and hours for a villa and we were begining to think we were being too fussy, wanting a fab pool, and near the airport so we didnt have a long transfer, and near the beach and resturants but nice and quiet........then we found Villa Rioja.
The boys LOVED the pool, and there were lots of inflatables for us all to play on. When i got a bit hot for them mid-afternoon they could go inside and watch some CBEEBIES or play a board game under the parasol and i could stay out and read my book. If you was in a hotel you would have to go in with them everytime they needed the loo. It made it so much more relaxing. The Villa is wonderful, clean, tidy and everything you need.
We had a BBQ a few nights, ate out some other nights and made a spag bol, pizza and chips the other 2 nights, the kitchen has everything you need and the supermarket just 5 minutes away is well stocked. The boys just stayed in the pool till late, then we ate tea outside. The roof top terrace is lovely, you can watch the sunset with a glass of wine, it is very private.
The beach is lovely, and the water is shallow very far out, so very safe for children. There is a play area open at night that has a bar, so it is nice to have a drink and the kids can play on the bouncy thingy and ride go-carts.
We also caught the bus in to Mahon one day, which has a lovely harbour, we enjoyed looking at all the boats and had lunch there and a very big ice-cream.
This truly is a wonderful holiday, totally relaxing, which we were worried about with the children, but because it is totally safe, and a locked gate and there is only you, you arent worried about them getting lost etc. It really is like being at home, in your back garden, with the sun and a pool.......and no jobs to do! I can not recommend it enough. The boys actually cried the morning we left.
Thank you Adele and Don for sharing this wonderful place with us
“A lovely clean villa, we had a wonderful holiday.” Villa Amber is a lovely clean villa, its spacious enough, and the pool was gorgeous. Its worth renting a car as the island is too beautiful not to see. Cuitadella is a unique town, well worth a visit. The local spar is well stocked, but expensive. Go to Mahon for a big shop. The restaurant by the caves is excellent, I didnt find the other restaurants very good, but the kitchen in Villa amber is suitable to cook a family meal. We had a lovely time, as the villa is close enough to beaches bars etc, but not too close! the other holidaymakers were very nice people...no yobs! even the property maintenance people were nice!

Siesta Mar II (1 Bedroom)
Nice apartment with excellent private outside terrace and furniture. Lots of hot water! The towels provided could have been bigger but not a problem. As it was very cold at night they came by the next day with some blankets for us. Within walking distance to the lovely beach & restaurants. We arrived early in the season so not all restaurants were open. It was a lovely surprise to have bread tea coffee sugar water beer milk butter bread & a bottle of wine, such a great touch & very appreciated …
The cherry trees
Super family holiday in spacious villa with fabulous pool.
The villa's peaceful location provided a home from home atmosphere, is within walking distance of the lively centre and beach of Cala en Porter, and a short drive from Mahon. …
Casa Emily With Private Heated Pool, Aircon,WIFI..
Just returned home from a wonderful holiday in casa Emily and can honestly say that it was perfect. The villa is a great size and is in a good location with the main hub of the town about a 15 minute walk. Ron, the owner is a nice and helpful guy. Would recommend highly, in fact, we are thinking going back to Cala-n-porter next year and will trying to book is villa again. The only thing I feel I should mention is that the villa is located on the outskirts of the town and up a hill, which is a fair walk in the heat of the day, but you can get shopping delivered by the local supermarket if you don't rent a car. …

Another wonderful holiday!
We're sadly back in the UK after another wonderful holiday at Villa Amber. We really can't recommend this villa highly enough - it is in a great location, within an easy walk of the shops, restaurants and the caves, and has every amenity you can think of.
The villa is well maintained and really feels like a home away from home. The owners have added lots of little things like plastic plates / cups, games, dvd's etc for children that really make a big difference when you are travelling with a young family. We wouldn't hesitate to book again and certainly hope to return for a third visit in the future. …
Apartment Cala'n Porter
Booking this apartment was very easy, Gillian the owner communicated well, and I always received prompt replies to my many questions. She gave us easy instructions on how to find the property and was also avaliable if we needed questions answered before the holiday.
The apartment itself was lovely, it felt like a proper home and had cupboards full toiletries we might have forgotten. It also had english TV channels and a DVD player which were perfect when we had overdone it the night before and needed a night in! It was well decorated and had everything we could have needed. The crowning feature was definately the huge balcony. There are two pools nearby which belong to the Siesta Mar apartment complex, and the beach is just 5 minutes away.
There are supermarkets a short walk away and ample restuarants. It's not the busiest of areas but has enough going on. It is also a 5 minute walk from the Cova d'en Xoroi caves which are worth a visit. The bus stop is also on the doorstep and a trip into Mahon only takes 15 mins on the bus.
Overall this was a great apartment, communication brilliant, and we had a throughly good time. Would recommend it to anyone. …
