“Fantastic stay-5 stars!” We had a fantastic stay with Richard and Claire in their Penlan gite-5 stars! We arrived to homemade plum jam and eggs from the chickens, a wonderful touch after a long journey. The gite was a cool escape on a hot day with the tiled floor and open plan layout, perfect after a day on the beach, and the wood burning stove was fantastic on the chillier evenings. We loved the privacy of the gite, and the amazing views over the countryside, perfect for sitting out with dinner and a good book. Richard and Claire were very respectful of our privacy and were extremely helpful when we wanted some information on the surrounding area. Some amazing places to explore in Finistere, if you love beaches, wildlife and nature, Penlan gites are a good option for your holiday in France.

“Best holiday ever!!!” I thought i was taking a bit of a risk by driving down instead of flying (with 2 young children on tow) but worked out brilliantly. The drive turned out to be very enjoyable with the ferry crossing a pleasant change for a frequent flyer. Upon arrival to the cottage i was pleased to see that all the rooms were a good size and spotlessly clean. The cottage has everything you would expect and the bikes were really handy for exploring the place. The beach was great for the children and we all enjoyed getting the train from the local train station for days out to different nearby beautiful towns and citys. Ideal if you fancy a nice meal out or if you prefare a home cooked meal and a glass of wine in front of the log fire as we tended to do most nights. I couldnt recommend this cottage enough and could have easily stopped for another 2 weeks.

“Great Set-up in Great Location” Came to the coach house with my two daughters and partner and enjoyed it immensely. Pool was great, and the kids enjoyed the huge garden with slides,swings, trampoline - you name it! House was clean and confortable with two bathrooms and a kitchen with good utilities (except a coffee/tea pot)... The surrounding area was beautiful and Joanne and Adrian were very friendly. I would recommend the coach house to my friends and family.

“A must for any family wishing to explore South Brittany.” Wonderful, picturesque accomodation, spotlessly clean, everything you need for a self catering holiday, gardens, pool and toys have been built with children in mind. Our 3 kids (aged 15, 6 & 3) a had a fantastic holiday. Gites are very private/rural and yet only 5mins away from supermarket, restaurants. So glad we chose this location as it was a perfect base to explore all Brittany has to offer, from the megalithic sites in the sea-side town Carnac, the wonderful arts & crafts in Rochefort-en-Terre or the fantastic Branfere Zoo, the list of things to do goes on and on. The family who own the gites are perfect hosts, there when you need them, helpful, knowledgeable and full of ideas for where you might explore. We had a great time.

“Busy children, happy parents - a haven which is home from home” Our seventh stay at La Metairie - and we're as happy as ever to be there. Orchard Cottage is comfortable, clean, well equipped and perfect for a family holiday. There's a lovely new bed in the master bedroom, and enough space for all the family. Great kitchen, fab lounge and to have a bath and a shower is a must with small children. Little touches make this place ideal for your holiday - from providing a bath mat to books, games and jigsaws to keep the little ones occupied on the rare rainy days. Outside is a huge playground for the kids, and a lovely spot for a barbecue at the end of the day. The peace and quiet you get from the surrounding fields is hard to beat. But it's nice that you're only a few minutes' drive to the big town also. We will be back next year!

“A lovely place to get away from it all” Le Gite Au Manoir is a really nice retreat if you simply want to get away from the hustle and bustle and unwind. The Gite is very well equipt with everything you need for a comfortable stay (though remember to take your own towels) and the owners are really welcoming - providing a much needed glass of wine after a long journey! Our two small children enjoyed running around the large lawned area to the rear of the property which provided a safe place to play. As adults, we liked lighting candles and relaxing in front of the impressive woodburner!

“Great cottage, wonderful location & first class hospitality!” We have stayed in the sister cottage Le Soleil 2 years previous and enjoyed our holiday so much returned here again in 2012. The cottage is well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, oven, fridge etc and basic household goods are also supplied i.e. washing up liquid, detergent, toilet rolls etc. The owners who reside in the neighbouring cottage are fantastic, welcoming and completely accommodating! Nothing is too much trouble! A beautiful and very delicious welcome basket is provided and clean fresh towels and bed linen. We travelled with two little children aged 2 to 3 and the location is just perfect for long walks, relaxing in the garden or trips to visit the nearby horses/chickens. We felt very reassured and considered the village to be safe, friendly and picturesque. St Malo is approximately 45 minutes drive, however, the local village bakery is wonderful for fresh croissants and homemade bread. There is also a local supermarket. We will be returning again and recommend this gite for anyone wanting to experience a French style way of Iife in beautiful surroundings.
