“Wow!” This house is the most peaceful place we could imagine - we sat for hours just watching the water, the fish, swimming, floating, and canoeing. The house is fully equipped with a kitchen (spices, etc. also), snorkel gear, floats, etc., so we had everything we needed to enjoy the scenery. The house is surrounded by mangroves, forest, and water - that's it - no noise, people, buildings. Howler monkeys, jumping fish and birds were the only sounds. We may have felt isolated, except that the housekeeper (who lives out of sight on dry land) was available at any hour of the day to take us to town for a meal out, a night on the town, snorkeling, or to any of Bocas' beautiful beaches. I think this is the best way to experience Bocas del Toro because you've got the beautiful, isolated surroundings and easy access to everything.
“Truely, An amazing house over the water in the Caribbean!” Beyond expectations. We only had five days in the blue house and plan to stay longer next time we visit. Poli and Lyo are friendly and great hosts. Dont be afraid to ask them for help. Just make sure to plan ahead and confirm. They can send you in the right direction and hook you up with local tours and services. We got kayaks delivered to the house for $10 a day. The coral reef around the house was amazing. I took hundreds of pictures. Beautyfull fish swam under and around the house constantly. Visible through the glass floor.Transportation to and from town can be pricy outside the schedule of the complementary shuttle service provided by the owners boat. $20 each way for four people. We were visiting a couple days before and during Carnival so we were also getting expensive water taxis back to the house at midnight. $50 for four people. Make sure to bring something with an internet connection, its the only way to get a hold of Poli and Lyo aside from swimming to their house. We planned a two week trip in Panama around the five days we spent in this house. Our time in Bocas was the highlight of our trip. Get Panté to take you for a private tour of the archipelago. There's a neighbor up the island with some barking dogs in the morning on ocassion.
