“Wow!!!” My stay at Serendos de Paz in Villa Cocobolo was perfect. The staff was amazing and very helpful and catered to our every need. The location in Manzanillo was awesome as well, peaceful and quite and close enough to town for a little night life, but not too close. Villa Cocobolo was awesome, perfect for our needs and everything we needed to be self sufficient. The view and the jungle and wildlife was incredible. The Howler monkeys came buy the villa everyday at the same time and the green parrots joined us every morning for coffee. It was perfect, the whole experience.

“Made us feel like royalty!” We stayed at the Red Sunset for a week. We had 9 people (5 young boys). I cannot say enough about this amazing house and Patrick, the owner. When we read the previous reviews, I honestly thought it sounded too good to be true. However, the home (and Patrick) exceeded every expectation. I honestly felt like "the rich and famous". It started out with Jaime, our "personal" driver, picking us up at the airport. We arrived at 1am but Patrick was waiting there to greet us. Every morning we were greeted with amazing breakfasts, and 2 ladies who cleaned all the dishes and the house. Patrick met with us several times to help us make an itinerary for each day. He called each place to set up tours. He packed us lunch one day and it was a very nice picnic lunch. Then we decided to ask him to provide dinner one night and we were amazed! The dinner was waiting exactly at the time we asked for it. He made amazing food, a gourmet dessert and even stayed to wait on us. Despite the food being some of the tastiest we'd eaten, it was half the price of eating at any restaurant. We ended up using him for two dinners but wished we could have eaten at home every night! Jaime was a wonderful driver and well worth the cost. He was prompt, considerate, a safe driver and available for our every whim. He patiently waited while we shopped, did tours, ate meals, etc. He also provided good advice on places to visit. The house was beautiful. There were several bedrooms - each with a private bathroom. The views were amazing. The first morning a huge bird flew right by our window. Another day we spotted a couple toucans in a nearby tree. One day we awoke to a horse outside our bedroom window. The house was clean, well stocked, beds were comfortable and bathrooms were well maintained. A little far if you want to visit the beach but perfect if you're looking for lush surroundings, cool weather, wildlife, adventures and a feel for the laid back, friendly culture.

“I can't stop thinking about this place” My girlfriend and I picked Angler's Lair based on the recommendation of a friend that stayed there a couple years ago. It is the most peaceful and serene house one could ever hope to luck up on the jungle. Clean, quiet (but for the "music" from the amazing wildlife) and relaxing. Janet and Nick are so down to earth and genuinely kind people and they did a great job of balancing how often they came around to check to see if we needed anything and giving us privacy. Nick even gave us an "orientation bike ride" around the area to make sure we'd know where to find the best beach spots and the closest places to grab food. Oh! They also have the sweetest dog that drops in every so often to hear about your adventures! This is absolutely a great place to stay and it gives you the full experience of the jungle and the beach.

“Honeymoon Dream!” We had the most amazing experience staying in this Villa. It has absolutely everything you would need/have at home. The entire grounds/office staff at Bahia are not only extremely nice, but beyond helpful as well. We ate out every day (for 2 weeks) and our favourite restaurant was Picante's at Bahia- the Mahi Mahi was the freshest around. We also loved Claudio Y Gloria, Pacifico Beach Club and Citron; all within a 5 minute drive from the Villa in Coco Beach. We did all of our grocery shopping at auto Mercado which is where we found the freshest food. The staff are beyond helpful in trying to find things that you are used to seeing at home. The day trips to the Canopy Tour, Bourinquen Mountain Resort & Spa and Deep Sea Fishing were memories we will never forget. If you catch fish while on the Deep Sea Fishing trip, they will clean it for you and Picante's will cook it for you for free- you only pay for the sides!! I speak English only and my husband is fluent in Spanish, however, every single person we came into contact with does speak English so Spanish is not needed at all. We became extremely close to the staff at Picante's and still communicate back and forth. Everyone who was either renting or that owns a Villa was so sweet and kind- we made lifelong friends that we will never forget and hope to meet up with them again one day at Bahia Pez Vela. The beach is private and there are a few different pools that can be used on site. This is where we spent most of our time with day trips to see a few other beaches. Snorkeling and swimming in your private backyard! We cannot wait to go back and hope to do so very soon. I would recommend this to couples as well as families. Best trip ever!!
