“A wonderful place in the Pyrénées” Le Pèlerin is a beautiful, romantic place in the most peaceful, unspoilt, picturesque village and run by a wonderful couple, Ragnhild and Janos. The rooms are nice, comortable and quiet. The surroundings are spectacular with the hills and mountains and with the Cathar castle Montségur less than an hours walk uphill from Le Pèlerin. The yard between the houses with the swifths flying by is a perfect place to spend the afternoon after a walk. It is a place for excursions as well as for quiet days in historic surroundings. The area with its limestone ground, is exciting if you have an interest in botany. Many towns and sighths to visit within reasonable distance by car. Amongst others: Monday market in Mirepoix, cave paintings in Niaux, The village Renne Le Chateau, Carcasonne. A cople of hours drive to the Mediterranian.
