Friendly place close to town

I booked this apartment for my wife, 2 young girls and myself as a base close to the centre of Porto Heli. Beds are 1x double. 1x single, 1x sofa bed in the living area, which worked fine for us. It’s a quiet spot (apart from some building work nearby) but only 6 minutes easy (and pleasant) walk from the centre, 3 minutes from a little bay with shaded beach. The apt is Lower floor of 3 story house and the friendly and helpful owners live on the top floor. Villa Irini
Great views and wonderful owners

We had a delightful week in villa irini. The villa is a lovely balance of homely and quality accommodation. Vangelis was wonderful arranging for our arrival including making provision for one of us who needs a gluten and dairy free diet. Nothing was too much trouble for him or those on site. The friendliness of Wilson, Tassi and Angela is overwhelming. Nothing is too much trouble and although they live on site and are available seemingly all the time they are also discreet and never in the way. Wilson cooked a wonderful meal one evening for us, something we would heartily recommend. We had the option of breakfast being prepared for us. Lovely bread,cheese, meats, eggs, fresh orange juice and fruit was such a wonderful start to each day, and no washing up! The kitchen is one of the best equipped we've ever had with lots of herbs, spices and oils available, and I gather Vangelis plans to put a new kitchen in for next year, which will make it even better. The espresso machine was a great addition. The bedrooms are all lovely, clean and comfortable. And with Angela making our beds each day it feels almost like a hotel but with the lovely home feel. Mosquito nets on all the doors and windows was a nice touch, but the area seemed remarkably mosquito free for a Mediterranean holiday. There is so much lovely outdoor space wth so many tables to sit at and enjoy a coffe and the amazing views of the sea and coastline. The pool is a wonderful place to spend time, and the fridge by the pool is a lovely extra touch as are the 2 hammocks in addition to the sun beds. The steps down to the sea with a rocky access is wonderful for when you need a change from the pool. We also loved the cat family that were around and friendly but not intrusive. There is good shopping nearby in Porto Heli, and we were rather taken by the restaurants in the harbour of Ermioni. Porto Heli is quite a way from the main archaeological sites on the Pelopponnese and the roads are pretty winding so it isn't ideal for lots of sightseeing, but with such an amazing place to stay who needs to travel. The Sea Urchin Studio with sea view & balcony
Superb studio in wonderful location with friendly and welcoming hosts.

Before we left for our fortnight in Ermioni, Nikos and Yota (the owners) sent us masses of appetite whetting background information about Ermioni and the surrounding area, as well as directions by road from Athens airport. When we arrived Yota met us at the port and showed us the way up the hill to the Sea Urchin Studio and also looked after us magnifyicently, regularly presenting us with a range of sweet treats during our stay. The studio is ideally situated in a peaceful location at the top of the hill, 10-15 minutes walk through the narrow winding streets of old Ermioni to the port, which is really the centre of the village. The view from our balcony over the village and the bay beyond was stupendous! Most mornings we would watch the sun rise over the bay and then go for an early morning jog round the shore that runs along both sides of the peninsula and around Bisti – the wooded park beyond the village at the peninsula’s tip (sometimes stopping briefly for a swim) before having breakfast at one of the many places to eat in the port, watching fishermen selling their catch. Ermioni is quiet yet lively, a bit off the tourist track with a real sense of community (don’t miss the local market on Thursday mornings!) There is lots to visit in the surrounding area too, including numerous beaches, caves - including the Cave of Franchthi, which housed the oldest human settlement in the world (23,000BC), the impressive Katafyki Gorge, Epidavros with its 2500 year old theatre and also the islands of Poros, Hydra, and Spetses. There is lots of information on the web, “Ermioni info” is a good starting point. Apart from the balcony, the studio is well equipped with a 3 hob cooker and oven - no microwave - which is adequate for basic holiday cooking, and the old fashioned ceiling fan helped to keep us cool (there is also air conditioning, which we did not use) … see more
Villa-Tolo
Spacious property with stunning views

Just come back from Villa Tolo and had a super, relaxing time. The property benefits from stunning views over Tolo bay from both the ground floor patio and bedroom balconies. The bedroom decor is simple, tasteful and relaxing. As mentioned elsewhere in the reviews, the pictures don't do the property justice. Tolo itself is beautiful with plenty of good restaurants and beaches, as well as being a great base for visiting ancient sites such as Mycenae, Epidaurus and Korinth. Dimitris is super helpful - he even helped with minor repairs of my hire car. I think a car is almost essential in the summer as walking back from the beach, up two steep hills, in 37 degrees, would have been unpleasant without one. … see more
VILLA ELENI BEAUTIFUL VILLA WITH PRIVATE POOL
Beautiful and very peaceful location within ten minutes drive of Porto Heli

We weren't sure what to expect but we were delighted with the villa and it's beautiful garden and pool. There is a small quiet beach within 5 minutes walk (all uphill on the way back) and a huge variety of beaches and covers within 5 to 15 minutes drive. Porto Heli is 10 minutes drive away. It has a huge range of restaurants as well as a marina and supermarkets. Keep walking to the restaurant at the end of the marina (as far as you can go - just below the church) and you will get a seat with the poto-heli sea lapping at your feet! … see more
