From the owner

Our charming 1 bedroom/1 bathroom penthouse is sunny and cozy. The private rooftop terrace has a stunning 180 degree view of the beautiful Villefranche-Sur-Mer bay. The apartment is situated on the top story of the historic Palais de la Marine, which is located just down the street from the old town and directly across the street from the bay. The Palais de la Marine has an elevator to the 4th floor. Our flat is located just 1 floor above on the top floor, just 1 flight of stairs. The bedroom has a queen size bed which is open to the living area and can be closed off with a privacy screen. The living room has a sofa with a pullout bed. The kitchen and bathroom have been recently renovated. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. Watch the fishermen come in each morning while sipping your coffee on the terrace, you are just a 2 minute walk to the dock where the fishermen sell their daily catch. The town's weekly market is every Sunday. The weekly market, grocery store, boulanger, patisserie, wine store and many wonderful restaurants are all just steps away. The pristine beach of Villefranche is a top rated beach on the Cote D'Azur and is a short walk from the flat. The quaint town is charmingly beautiful and truly magical after dark. The Italian border is 30 minutes away. If you get the urge for a more cosmopolitan scene, Nice is just a 10 minute drive or train ride away. The glamorous and ritzy Monaco is 20 minutes away by car or train. Whether you are a francophile, oenophile, foodie, golfer, sun worshiper, ski enthusiast, scuba diver/snorkler or a glitzy jet setter, Villefranche-sur-Mer has everything you need and want. The train and bus stations are just a few minutes walk from the flat. There are also 5 private parking spaces available on a first come first serve basis and public paid parking is nearby.
