From the owner

This cosy room, with its own en suite (including a shower), is separate to our main house, but enjoys the same tranquil setting. From the grounds you can look in any direction and marvel at nature, be it mountains or the sea. Perfect for those who need to unwind. Bike Friendly/Biker Friendly.

A Spanish style breakfast for 2 is included, and consists of tostada, oil, tomato, fruit juice and tea or coffee.

There is a small refrigerator in the room.

From our grounds you can appreciate nature in every direction. We lose many hours gazing at the mountains, and watching their appearance change as the sun moves round. The sea, which is about 4 km away as the crow flies, is equally enchanting. The sunsets perfectly bring to an end the daylight hours.

There are many restaurants, bars & cafes in the area, catering for all tastes and pockets. There is a large reservoir nearby (Embalse De Amadorio), which is a great place to go walking. Why not take a picnic and make a day of it? Given notice we could prepare a picnic for you. If you fancy going further afield the choice of destinations is vast. Drive/ride up into the mountains, visit towns and villages to get the real flavour of Spain. The town of Villajoyosa offers a choice of 11 beaches - sandy or rugged, and a port. There are also 3 chocolate factories, all offering free tours. There's an elegant shopping centre just 15 minutes away by car, plus a Carrefour hypermarket. Just a little further on you'll find Benidorm. You could shop all day until you drop if you need to (don't forget gifts for those you've left behind) or if you fancy going to see a show in the evening and enjoying a beverage or two, we can arrange transport to get you there and bring you back. There are opportunities for various water sports & outdoor pursuits in the area. We can make the calls to make the arrangements for you. There is also a choice of Go-Kart tracks. Villajoyosa Rugby Club is 5 minutes away. As we are tucked away in the countryside your own transport is really a must - be it a car, motorbike or bicycle. However, a car will get you to civilisation very quickly - within 20 minutes you could be parked at the beach or the port. 15 minutes will get to to an elegant shopping centre or hypermarket. Of course, that same 15 minutes could also take you way up into the mountains.

I'm sorry about the problems we had with the pool during your stay. As you know, the quality of the water was fine, but we were unable to vacuum the sand from the bottom of the pool, which made it look unclean. Once you had left the property each day my husband swept the pool in an effort to minimise the problem, and our contractor did visit during your stay, although he was unable to fix it before you left. I know your daily swim was important to you, but this issue didn't prevent you from using the pool every day. It's unfortunate that the plant around the entrance has died, but we haven't yet decided on the best replacement for it. Despite these issues you gave every indication that you were enjoying your stay here.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Kim (the owner) a message.

If Kim (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
