We own and personally manage The Red Cottage in Black Mountain, NC. We have a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, baby equipment, competitive rates and many amenities. We do our best to provide outstanding service, and our goal is to exceed your expectations! All that our guests need to bring is clothing, personal items, food and high expectations of having a great time!
We have carefully renovated, equipped, and decorated as if The Red Cottage were our primary residence. We do our best to anticipate our guests' needs and to provide you with all the comforts of home. Our goal is to exceed your expectations and be listed as one of the top affordable vacation rental properties in the area.
Due to the limitations of this vacation rental website, initial rate quotes will
occasionally be amended by Hosts to reflect pet fees and cleaning services for long-term reservations and promotional rates.
Pets are NOT permitted in or on the rental property of The Red Cottage in
Black Mountain without prior notice. This policy also applies to friends and
family who may visit and bring their pets with them.
Regardless of the pet(s) size or breed, Guests are required to pay a nonrefundable pet fee. $80/pet up to 27 nights; $160/pet for 28 to 89 nights;
$240/pet for 90+ nights.
Our Pet Policy must be reviewed before check-in for any pet(s) to be
allowed in or on the property. If this regulation is violated and pets have
been detected, the pet fee will be added to your bill, and your refundable
security deposit could be compromised.
Cleaning Service: $80 up to 27 nights; $160 for 28-89 nights; $240 for 90+
nights. Routine cleaning services can be scheduled for long-term guests
for an additional cost.
If you are traveling with children they must be listed in your reservation details prior to booking your stay. We have available upon request a highchair, booster seat, and Pack & Play for infants and toddlers.
Please note that the property does not meet ADA standards. However, we have had numerous guests throughout our years of operation that required assistive devices. We have been told that our guests can easily maneuver through the open floor plan. Guests will need to have moderate mobility to easily assess the bathrooms; one is equipped with a high, elongated commode seat and grab bar. We also have a mechanical lift recliner, and assistive equipment for bathrooms is available upon request.
Sleeps 6 (please review our floor plan). Two bedrooms with queen-size mattresses; a spare room with a daybed & pullout trundle with premium mattresses. All beds come with patchwork sewn quilts, comforters, blankets, and hotel-quality sheets (extra linen for our long-term guests).
Central heat and air with all new ductwork, basement vapor barrier, dehumidifier, and quarterly mold inspection.
The large kitchen has Whirlpool stainless steel appliances and is fully equipped for all your cooking and dining needs. Mahogany drop leaf dining table with a service set for 8.
The rear entrance room is furnished with an ice cream parlor table and 2 chairs. The living room has a large sleeper sofa, a mechanical lift recliner, and an antique rocker.
The property is equipped with 3 wall-mounted Smart TVs and Roku. Guests are welcome to personally stream any of their favorite networks that are not readily available.
If your travel requires that you work off-site we have available a desktop computer, secured high-speed internet, and excellent cellphone coverage.
The Red Cottage driveway is level with the main entrance and can be accessible for guests that require a walking cane or walker.
For your outdoor enjoyment: Chilling on the front porch in one of the rocking chairs or gliding bench is everybody's favorite! The back patio has a marble-top table with 2 chairs, a Weber propane grill and a backyard picnic table with an umbrella.
A security keypad lock is installed. The security code, address and check-in/check-out information will be sent to the guests three days prior to arrival.
Come back often and take advantage of our 10% discount off our nightly rates for all returning guests. This offer never expires though cannot be combined with our discounts, promotions, or off-season rates.
