The villa is ideally placed for clients arriving into Split or Zadar airport and would suit a couple, small group of friends or a family looking to stay in a quiet picturesque seaside village with the added bonus of having a pretty turquoise water filled harbour located a short stroll away from the villa.

The villa is approached along a gravel road where parking is located to the rear of the property. Guests enter up a flight of stairs onto a large balcony overlooking the pool with village and sea view. The main entrance is accessed from the balcony and opens directly into an open plan kitchen / diner / lounge area with picture windows and 2 sets of glass doors overlooking the pool area. Two double bedrooms, one of which overlooks the pool, and a separate shower room are located in a corridor off the lounge.

Stairs from the house lead down to the pool area containing an outdoor BBQ/summer kitchen and dining table and chairs as well as sun recliners around the pool.

The Dalmatia region

Many of the holidaymakers who head to Croatia – arguably the greatest find of the European tourism market over the last ten years – will book a spot on the captivating Dalmatian coast.

Made up of three regions – Zadar, Sibenik and Split, each revolving around the fascinating cities of the same names – the northern and central part of the destination has plenty to offer visitors.

At the northern end of the coast is Zadar region, an area that is as rich in history and culture as it is in nature and wildlife.

The gleaming white of Dalmatian stone forms much of the landscape in this pretty part of the nation and is complemented magically by the smouldering glow of the sun and the deep greens of the trees and olive groves

Zadar itself is a wonderful place to spend some time, with its 3,000-year-old buildings creating an eye-catching draw for any tourist. The city is centered upon the oldest Roman forum on Croatia's Adriatic coast and the nearby resort of Nin is home to the world's smallest cathedral.

Trogir

Car hire is recommended as the villa provides an ideal base from which to explore the region. Such sites as the waterfalls of Krka National Park as well as the historic cities of Split and Zadar are all located within 30 – 60 minutes drive of the villa.

"Lovely spacious villa"

We had a great stay. A lovely friendly welcome from Irene the caretaker. Our three children 10, 8 and 5 loved the splash pool. The outside seating area with pizza style oven, gas hob and sink was great for eating outside. It was very hot but there was always shade. The villa was clean and well equipped for eating in and there were lots of extra towels, tea towels and sheets if necessary. I enjoyed watching the boats coming into the harbour from the seating area on the balcony. We walked down to the harbour and bribed the children back up the slopes with ice cream. It is a very quiet area but not far from hustle and bustle if you want it. There are several restaurants in the harbour and it is worth walking around from the main area. There is a great ice cream shop and two supermarkets. We didn't make it to the fish market (6-8 a.m) but sounds good. Irene encouraged us to help ourselves to the figs, peppers and tomatoes growing in the garden, delicious. Good air conditioning in the lounge. A lovely villa and good value for money.

The only one thing l would have liked, would have been some bottled water in the fridge on arrival. The owners advise you not to drink the tap water. This meant that we had to pop into to the shop immediately, which was a bit of an inconvenience after a long journey.
