About the home

Tiled entrance courtyard with apricot, lemon and plum trees, beautiful pool enclosure with timber gazebo for al-fresco poolside dining, all set in landscaped gardens, with palms, bougainvillea and barbecue area.

Villa Nicola is located in a quiet location in Lendinuso, a typical Puglian holiday village, benefiting from seafront ice cream parlours,cafes, and pizzeria.
Lendinuso also has a first-aid centre,supermarket, butchers (in season) and a year round fresh bakery and delicatessen.
Villa Nicola is within 5 minutes walking distance from small sandy uncommercialised beaches. There are more small beaches as you travel north and south from Lendinuso. Campo di Mare, Bar Benni, Lido Sun Beach and Exotic beach have beach bars / restaurant sand sun loungers etc available for hire during the season. Campo di Mare has 5 sheltered protected bays with shallow waters and sandy beaches, ideal for small children. Torre Chianca is approximately 15 minutes drive south from Lendinuso and has a well serviced and fine sandy beach.

Air-conditioned Villa Nicola has been recently restructured and refurbished , and sleeps 6.
Bedroom 1 is very large and is equipped with ceiling fan, a super-king bed, twin singles and has ample storage with solid wood of chests of drawers, lockers and wardrobe.
Bedroom 2 has full size queen double-bed, and again has ample storage with solid wood chest of drawers, lockers and wardrobe and shuttered window onto the front courtyard.
Modern fully tiled bathroom with shower unit, toilet, sink, bidet, vanity unit and washing machine.
Kitchen is fully fitted and excellently appointed with all necessities and dining facilities for six.
The living area has solid wood and leather sofa and armchairs, with DVD/CD player, flatscreen TV with satellite. A selection of DVDs are provided or choose from our DVD library list with over 300 titles available.
Books, games and jig-saws are also available.

Mature English speaking babysitter facility available..
Cookery lessons available in Villa, with local ingredients and regional recipes... please arrange with us prior to arrival
Boat fishing trips (tackle supplied) and/or scenic boat excursions available (picnics optional) - weather permitting

Entering the front gate to Villa Nicola finds one in a walled tiled courtyard, with lemon, plum and apricot trees for you to help yourself to the sun-ripened fruit. Steps to the side lead onto the roof terrace that gives views over the village of Lendinuso and the sea.
Passing through an archway under the roof staircase, it opens into a tranquil enclosed garden, containing palm trees, and graveled beds with flowering shrubs and bougainvillea. The 10 metre x 5metre private swimming pool in set in tiled terraces, with poolside shower shady gazebo for al-fresco dining, double doors from the gazebo lead back into the Villa. Complete with ample garden lighting, poolside bathroom and barbecue area it is possible to spend long lazy days relaxing outside whilst taking a break from exploring the beautiful Salento and Puglian regions.

A welcome basket, bed linen, hand, bath and beach towels are included in the rental rates.

The Puglia/Molise region

Villa Nicola is ideally situated to explore the whole region of Puglia. Close to Lecce, the Florence of the South, and to the Port of Brindisi, head north and inland for the historic centres of Ostuni (the White City), Martina Franca, Cisternino, Ceglie and others all within an easy drive. Further north (about an hours drive) you will find Fasano Zoo Safari and Alberobello, home of the Trulli, Castel del Monte and Castellana Grotto. Head south for the port of Otranto, Santa Maria di Leuca on the tip of the boot where the Adriatic meets the Ionian. South west for Gallipoli and and many other beautiful towns/cities and beaches. There is no shortage of things to do and see, or you could simply relax by the pool or on the beach!

If you are looking for sunshine, peace and quiet, rest and relaxation, local life, local culture, great food and wine, history and the warmth of the local italians you have found your holiday destination and your holiday villa!

The Torchiarolo / Lendinuso area

Villa Nicola is within 5 minutes walking distance from small sandy uncommercialised beaches. There are more small beaches as you travel north and south from Lendinuso. Campo di Mare, Bar Benny Lido, Sun Beach and Exotic beach have beach bars / restaurant sand sun loungers etc available for hire during the season. Campo di Mare has 5 sheltered protected bays with shallow waters and sandy beaches, ideal for small children. Torre Chianca is approximately 15 minutes drive south from Lendinuso and has a very nice beach, very popular with Italian holiday makers.

Also within walking distance is Bar Benny, a restaurant/pizzeria with dancing, etc during the season, the restaurant is open all the year round. During the season there are other pizzerias, bars and gelaterias in Lendinsuo itself. There is also a small, but excellent bakery and pasticceria, (open all the year round) a butchers, small supermarket (both seasonal). In the season there is also a small street market along the seafront on most evenings.

There are nice restaurants in Casalabate (5 minutes drive), a nightclub-bar in Campo di Mare (10 minutes drive) and of course Lecce within 20 minutes drive.

Torchiarolo is the nearest town with supermarkets, post office, bank, bars, pizzerias, gelateria, hairdressers etc. Within twenty minutes drive there are three hyper-market shopping centres, IperCoop, Conad and Auchan

Flights : RyanAir from Stansted to Brindisi (nearest airport) or Bari. British Airways from Gatwick to Bari April to October, Al Italia via Rome or Milan, British Airways from Gatwick to Naples.

Brindisi is 30 minutes drive from Villa Nicola, Bari is 90 minutes and Naples approximately 3 and half hours.

Car hire is recommended.

“chillaxing” Fantastic villa and is exactly as described on trip adviser. As the villa is owned and managed by Richard and Noirin you feel a very personal touch from the welcoming basket to the help and advice from Richard when you arrive. The villa is very well equiped and comfortable. Although we were there out of season as long as you have a car there was still plenty to do and see with the help of the information pack. The bakery and supermarket were just a short walk away, the markets were very helpful and well worth a visit. The villa is very tranquil and totally secluded and just the ticket for a very relaxing holiday and we will be returning in the not to distant future

“Excellent Holiday Home” The villa was to a very high standard and well equipped. Very spacious with a lovely outdoor pool area. The owners were excellent and always on hand to assist and advise on any query we may have had. The villa is located very close to local amenities. Excellent bakers,butchers and restraunts. Lovely beach only a few minutes walk from the villa. Had such a great relaxing holiday that we have booked again for next year!
