Benefiting from beach location, 12x6m solar heated swimming pool, external hot tub, air-conditioning, Wifi internet and all the comforts of home (including cats) all in the heart of Puglia. Fresh seasonal produce including asparagus, artichokes, peaches, strawberries and of course tomatoes, salad and herbs are freely available from our gardens. The Puglia Chef is on hand too, to provide catered meals - traditional Pugliese style - if required (additional costs apply).

The Puglia/Molise region
Holiday in Puglia, a wonderful, unspoilt region of Southern Italy, to enjoy a taste of the real italy with fantastic cuisine, historic centres, long, hot, sunny summers. Local festivals, dancing and music (don't miss the tarantalla!) and local foods to try. Everything you could want from a holiday in Italy.
Casa Mare is ideally situated to explore the whole region of Puglia. Close to Lecce, the Florence of the South, and to the Port of Brindisi, head north and inland for the historic centres of Ostuni (the White City), Martina Franca, Cisternino, Ceglie and others all within an easy drive. Further north (about an hours drive) you will find Fasano Zoo Safari and Alberobello, home of the Trulli, Castel del Monte and Castellana Grotto. Head south for the port of Otranto, Santa Maria di Leuca on the tip of the boot where the Adriatic meets the Ionian. South west for Gallipoli and and many other beautiful towns/cities and beaches. There is no shortage of things to do and see, or you could simply relax by the pool, in the hot tub, on the beach!
Local activities include swimming, tennis, walking, cycling, fishing, horse riding, golf, wind-surfing, kite-surfing, go-karting. Other activities include wine-tasting, olive-oil tasting, cookery lessons, italian lessons, artisan and market tours. We can help you arrange any activities.
If you are looking for bright lights, night clubs, fish and chips, all day breakfasts and karaoke on the beach - this is not for you.
If you are looking for sunshine, peace and quiet, rest and relaxation, local life, local culture, great food and wine, history and the warmth of the local italians you have found your holiday destination and your holiday villa!
Torchiarolo / Torre San Gennaro area
Casa Mare is mid way between Lendinuso and Torre San Gennaro. Both are Italian holiday villages. During the season there are often open air shows and local dancing. Both have restaurants, pizzerias, gelaterias etc.
Torchiarolo is a small town and has everything you need including a great family run trattoria (excellent food, superb wine).
Lendinuso is walking distance from Casa Mare and has a wonderful bakery/corner store open all year and a great butchers (seasonal) as well as markets, geletaria, pizzeria and other entertainment in the season. Torre San Genarro is also close by, half an hours walk or 5 minutes by car. Live entertainment in the season offering small supermarket, bakery, cafe-bars, restaurants and beaches. Nearby towns have supermarkets, butchers, fishmongers, greengrocers, post office, bank and hairdressers. Also some great restaurants and cafe-bars. Large hypermarkets, Auchan and Carrefour, within 20 minutes drive
How to get there
Flights : RyanAir from Stansted to Brindisi (nearest airport) or Bari. British Airways from Gatwick to Bari April to October, Al Italia via Rome or Milan, British Airways from Gatwick to Naples.
Brindisi is 30 minutes drive from Casa Mare, Bari is 90 minutes and Naples approximately 3 and half hours.
Car hire is recommended.

Further details indoors: Airconditioned three bedroom villa. Large spacious rooms all fully equipped to a high standard.
The living room has sea views and is equipped with large flat screen tv and entertainment centre, satellite tv with some English speaking channels. An extensive range of DVDs and english books are available.
The two master bedrooms each have a king size bed and a single bed (can be three single beds if required). The third bedroom has a standard double bed. All bedrooms have ample storage space and are equipped with hairdryers.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything a keen cook requires. Meals can be provided if you don't want to cook yourself.
Note: the shower room is an outside shower room, near the pool.
Further details outdoors: 12m x 6m solar heated swimming pool with solar bubble cover, cleaned and maintained daily. Ample sun loungers and other garden / patio furniture available. We provide lilos and other pool toys too.
In the pool area there is an outside bar with fridge for day long cold drinks. And a hot tub/spa (5 adults) under a bourganvilla covered gazebo for relazing in.
The outside verandah looks out over the lawn, patios and pool and has sea views. Perfect for alfresco dining.
Extensive vegetable and fruit gardens with produce available seasonally.

Casa Mare is available between 1 April and 30 September for a maximum of six weeks in that period. Check in time 16:00, check out time 11:00 (flexible if no arrivals due on your check out day) Owner / caretaker is on the property in separate self-contained apartment - available on request to help make your holiday special.
Conditions
25% deposit required to secure your booking. Balance payable 12 weeks before holiday start date. Security deposit £250, refundable at the end of your holiday.
