A gentle stroll will bring you into the charming village of Corgnac Sur Lisle, where you can buy your daily fresh bread, It has 3 bars, 2 restaurants, 2 grocery shops, butcher, hairdressers, chemist and an English speaking doctor.

Located 5km south of bustling market town of Thiviers, capital of foi gras, it has a popular Saturday market and an excellent range of local shops and supermarkets. Rail links to Perigeux, Limoges & Paris. Convenient airports at Limoges and Bergerac.

Sarah and Nic would like to welcome you to Peyre St Front; with beautiful polished oak floors and a winding staircase linking the three floors, this professionally designed and restored gite is part of a typical old French house. Tall shuttered windows frame the picturesque views from the first floor sitting room and from the bedrooms.

Ground Floor: Entrance hall. Fully equipped dining/kitchen, with range, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine. Shower room. WC.

1st Floor: Spacious lounge,3 large settees, satellite TV, woodburner. Double bedrrom with ensuite.

2nd Floor: Master bedroom with four poster bed. Twin bedroom with antique french beds. Luxurious shower room, WC.

A splendid covered outdoor dining room which is accessed via a shaded walkway from the house, comes with a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher plus permanent BBQ overlooking private pool and terraces to meadows and river views beyond. The 10x5 pool is fenced with saline system, a healthier alternative to chemicals.

Private river bank - with seating and fishing is available subject to license from the local marie.

Activities in nearby village of Corgnac sur L'Isle include the Velorail. canoeing, tennis, fishing. Cycle the stunning Voie Verte from Thiviers to St Pardoux la Riviere – a traffic-free by-way, passing the beautiful and historic village of St Jean de Cole which is listed as one of France's 'most beautiful villages'. (Bike hire available locally)

The Dordogne offers myriad choices for the discerning visitor. Famous for it's cuisine, foi gras and truffles. We provide our guests with a list of recommended restaurants to try in the area.

There are many stunning chateaux and gardens including HAUTEFORT, PUIGUILHEM and JUMHILAC LE GRAND, where you can try your hand at panning for gold.

LASCAUX the most cave paintings in france are nearby and BRANTOME, the 'Venice of the Perigord" is just 25 minutes away. Visit the friday market, go canoeing, followed by a leisurely lunch at one of the many riverside restaurants.

SARLAT remains unspoilt - an architectural renaissance gem. Also don't miss the chateau at Beynac and the medieval village of Roque Cajc..

Thiviers is only an five minute drive away and has all the amenities of a larger town, including a fantastic saturday market, In addition, there are many bars and restaurants plus a large sports complex with outdoor pool and tennis courts.

There are many local markets - one for every day of the week! In addition many of the local villages have regular Vide Greniers (French car boot sales) Great fun to visit.

Bastille day on 14th July is celebrated with fireworks, dancing and music in the village.

There are many chateaux is the area to visit, as well as golf, cycling, rock climbing, wake boarding, canoeing, tree top climbing

And walking trails.
