The southern area is where you want to be if you are seeking a unique hideaway and a romantic escape, far from crowds and isolated in your own tranquillity and privacy. With this philosophy in mind, we first set up our home here which we opened to guests who want to experience a unique hideaway destination.
The unexpectedly high demand led us to acquire the adjoining part of the big rural casa and courtyard, opened as well to guests who seek an unforgettable holiday in a place so far unparalleled in the entire area for its beauty and charming atmosphere. Casa Teulada 3 will be truly your 'Home away from Home'.
Teulada, Sardinia area
Teulada is a very quiet, laid back old rural village, set 5 km inland and 5 minutes from 25 miles of pristine waters and idyllic beaches, secluded coves and unspoilt coastline.
Ideal base for exploring the incredible wealth of South western undiscovered Sardinia, the village resembles a typical Southern Italian settlement of the 1950's, where you can still see old ladies dressed in their black clothing, peasants, old fishermen playing cards in the bars, people meeting up in the main square and at Church on Sundays.
Teulada has everything you might need despite its laid back look: exquisite restaurants, mini markets, supermarkets, fresh produce weekly markets, pharmacy, bars and cafés.
Teulada addresses the holidaymaker seeking peace and tranquillity in a place far from crowds and far from the noise of a hectic night life, typical of more tourist spots in the North of the island. We remind the most discriminating of our guests that 2 Golf Courses, namely Chia and Is Molas, award winning Santadi Wine Estate, Sardinia's famous Is Zuddas stunning stalagmite caves are all just a short drive from Teulada.
Last but not least, the beach of Teulada in summer season is equipped with all you may want, from scuba diving excursions to peddling boat rental, wind surfing, fishing trips, or just sunbathing on sunbeds, chairs and beach umbrellas.
How to get there
Plane to Cagliari, Olbia or Alghero (Ryanair and BA from UK). Ferry from Genova, Livorno, Civitavecchia to Cagliari, Olbia, Porto Torres.
From Cagliari take road SS195 direction Pula, Chia, Domus De Maria and Teulada. Upon arrival in Chia (about 45 km) you may choose between two different ways to reach Teulada: a striking coastal road or an equally impressive internal road.
The coastal road is taken going left on SS 195 at the crossroads with Chia on SP71. After about 20 km you enter Teulada westwards through its main street, Via Sulcis. Follow the road all the way up to the Police Station (Carabinieri). Just before the Carabinieri turn left uphill and take Piazza Martiri.
Follow the road to the end (approx. 200 mt) and turn right at the Pharmacy (Farmacia). Follow the road, Via Umberto I, for about 20 mt and you’ll see the main square with the church of Teulada. Go around the square, following the road and CASA TEULADA is 20 more mt. away, the stunning red house overlooking the others.
Alternatively, you may take the equally impressive internal road. Follow SS195 all the way from Cagliari to Teulada. Drive past the crossroads with Chia and you will pass through magnificent sardinian countryside. After about 15 km you enter Teulada eastwards from its main street, Via Cagliari. Follow up to the Carabinieri, then turn right at Piazza Martiri and follow the road to the end (approx. 200 mt). Turn right at the Pharmacy (Farmacia), follow the road, Via Umberto I, for about 20 mt and you’ll see the main square with the church of Teulada. Go around the square, following the road and CASA TEULADA is 20 more mt. away just in front of you. (ideal for a couple or family with 1 kid) and comprises a fully furnished kitchen with all amenities, all mod cons, air conditioning, independent heating, beautiful hand made antique stone fireplace, deliciously appointed living room with stone sofa turning into single bed, folding table with chairs, double bedroom with walled in wardrobes, storage room with fridge & freezer, washing machine, beautiful bathroom with shower and designer toiletries, precious "CeraSarda" ceramic tiles, and lots of antique pieces, such as an old Tibetan portal used to adorn a wall in the living room, and two indoor windows carved into the wall to host old plates and other small amenities.
Further details outdoors: The apartment has access to a beautiful 200 sq. mts. common courtyard divided into a communal area and three large terraces hosting individual tables and chairs, BBQ's, an outdoor shower.
A secular majestic olive tree placed in the middle of the courtyard adds a touch of Mediterranean feeling and enables long relaxing talks under its shade on summer days.
A charming old fishermen boat was placed in the courtyard to enable guests to sample the marine atmosphere of the beaches nearby.
The fishermen boat is soon to be turned into a lounge seating area, where guests can gather at sunset to sip their own cocktail or enjoy their happy hour together with friends.
