"comfortable accommodation in an ideal rural location"
The welcome was friendly and informative and the gite spacious, clean and tidy, located in a rural location ideal for viewing the region. It was well appointed and light and airy, with all kitchen utensils to hand.

Gail & Chris were fantastic and gave us a very warm welcome. They were really helpful throughout our stay even leaving packages of plums and vegatables on the door step for us. The gite itself is clean and airy with lots of space to store all of those 'holiday extras'. The town is close and if you are feeling fit enough the supermarket is exactly 1.8 miles away if you fancy an early morning run to collect the croissants !! A great place to get away from it all. The lakes are within a 20 min drive for the furthest and 10 mins for the St Mathieu lake. Lots of watersports on the lakes with very nice beach areas. Good for walking and cycling also but if you have teenagers who want nightlife and amusement parks then take them to Paris !! Fantastic restful holiday, can't recommend it highly enough.

"Everything for a relaxing holliday"
We stayed at L'Hirondelle in september 2011. Gail and Chris made us feel very welcome and we had a drink in their beautiful garden. The gite is very comfortable and has everything for a relaxing vacation. We did't know this region and it turned out to be a real discovery! Wonderfull nature and close by mayor cities as Limoges and Angoulême. We will come back!

We were made very welcome on our arrival at L'Hirondelle. The accommodation was very well appointed and clean and everything the website described. It was only 2kilometres from the village where you could find everything you needed. The weather we had just made the whole holiday perfect, so we could enjoy the wonderful countryside.

"Great Location and Wonderful Gite"
We stayed here in April with 2 families each with 2 children, the location is good for short day trips to Limoges and Bordueax as well as surrounding areas such as Brantome and Pie-gut. The Gite is spotless and well presented with 4 bedrooms each having its on ensuite which is very handy for large family groups. Downstairs was a large kitchen and dining area which leads onto an outdoor patio if you want to eat outside. There is a large sitting area with TV ect and a shared laundry from memory. All the rooms are upstairs and the stairway is on the steep side so it would not be suited to very old people who may have difficulty walking up stairs. The hosts were wonderful and will cook a wonderful meal for you should you not wish to cook and they were very helpful even offering us a replacement mobile phone when mine died on the holiday! In the nearby town you will find a full size supermarket, petrol station, car wash, chemist and some other restaurants however there are also many other towns scattered around. The area is rural and quiet and is a good base for exploring the nearby area. Chris and Gail have a lovely Gite and spotless we would love to visit again if we get the chance.

"Perfect getaway location"
A group of 6 of us stayed at this property for a 5 night stay. We stayed in the gite located beside the main house containing the B&B rooms. The gite was perfect for us. All large double rooms with ensuite located upstairs. Downstairs all open plan kitchen, dining living opening to a very private garden area. Gail & Chris were the perfect hosts providing a wealth of knowledge of the local area and warm croissants and pastries each morning from the local bakery! Located in the peaceful countryside, yet only a short drive to the local village and many other towns of interest. Next time in the region we will stay again!
