It is well equipped and is within easy driving distance of Najac and about 30 minutes from St. Antonin Noble Val , both of which are magnificent medieval towns retaining all their wonderful architecture and charm and yet remaining unspoilt by the passage of time. Villefranche is reached in 20 minutes and apart from a popular Thursday market, provides all your needs for in-house catering. Like many properties of this style there are low beams and steep internal staircases .

The Midi-Pyrenees / Tarn-et-Garonne region
The property is located in the Aveyron Gorge region and is easily accessible to Najac and within 30 minutes of the wonderful town of St Antonin Noble Val a 13th Century medieval town.
This beautiful and as yet undiscovered area of south-west France is steeped in history and offers a quiet relaxing holiday for those interested in wonderful scenery, unspoiled French charm and excellent markets, food and drink.
The area is mid-way between Cahors and Gaillac; two famous appellations where wine has been made since Roman times.
St Antonin Noble Val area
Surrounded by countryside, this is a delightful place to spend a relaxing and simple holiday. It is a paradise for nature lovers, walkers and those who prefer to simply relax by the pool. Situated well off the beaten track, and with Angora goats and geese as passing neighbours, you can enjoy the true rural French scene. Nearby are Medieval villages, Bastide towns, Chateaux, Abbeys, Churches and magnificent natural sites of outstanding beauty; whether it be wooded valleys or the meandering River Aveyron with its dramatic gorges.
Within easy driving distance there are a large number of restaurants to cater for all budgets. Supermarkets are nearby to meet all your in-house catering needs .
ACTIVITIES Horse riding, canoeing, fishing, rail trips, rock climbing, wine tasting, museums, pot-holing, tennis and of course walking. Golf is available at Albi (18-hole delightful course; approximately 40 minutes by car), where there is also a water-park for children. An afternoon's excursion by canoe through the Aveyron Gorge is considered a 'must' by nearly all guests.
A number of local villages and towns have interesting and colourful markets. (NB: Be sure not to miss the local market in St Antonin and Villefrance .
EXCURSIONS BY CAR Within short driving distances, excursions can also be made to a number of fascinating towns and villages including Cordes, Albi, Najac, Cahors, Penne and Bruniquel, all of which are well worth a visit. For longer trips you have Carcassone , 2 hrs and the coast 2 1/2 hrs
How to get there
The property is approximately a day's drive from the Channel Ports and only just over an 1 hour from Toulouse Airport, which has daily flights from Heathrow, Gatwick, Birmingham, Southampton,Manchester,Dublin, Bristol ,Stansted and numerous flights from regional airports connecting with Amsterdam or Brussels and then onwards to Toulouse. Carcasonne, just an hour south of Toulouse, is another alternative with often very much cheaper fares. Rodez is about 1 hr away ..

Further details indoors: The property has been carefully restored over recent years, ensuring that many of the original features such as exposed and dressed stonework have been retained. The main living area, on the first floor, has a dining area, some lounge seating and kitchen. There is a bedroom on this floor and a further two bedrooms on the second floor.
Entry into the property is at ground floor level where, off the hallway is a shower-room and separate toilet. The staircase leads to the large dining and living area and at the top of the stairs there is a double bedroom to the left.
The main accommodation is delightful and comfortable for 6 people and comprises of a fully fitted kitchen with a dining table, sitting area and an adjoining 'souillard' with a vaulted ceiling and 'evier' reached through a stone archway. There is a small balcony where some of you may wish to take the morning sun with your breakfast. There is a TV for use with a video player with a selection of videos, plenty of books and a CD player. There are also some indoor games.
There is an open staircase to the second floor which has a large area with twin beds which, being 7m x 4m, doubles as an upstairs play area for children if required. From here there is a shower room, toilet and wash hand basin, leading through to another good sized double bedroom.
FACILITIES INDOORS: TV for use with the video player. a library of videos. CD/tape player, books and indoor games. Fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and oven. Cot, high chair and stair gate.

Further details outdoors: Passing through the gateway to the rear garden you come into the most delightful part of the property. It is like a 'secret' garden with a swimming pool set in a 'tapering' meadow which has delightfully shaded areas. It is a perfect setting to while away those warm summer days.
The pool, which is very private and looks across pastureland and is 11m by 5m with the depth ranging from 1m to 2.5m and has a solar heated shower. There is a small roofed area with an electrical point where you can keep a fridge for instant access to the cold beers etc.
FACILITIES OUTDOORS: Private pool 11m x 5m with solar heated pool shower. BBQ, outdoor fridge, garden furniture and parasol and loungers for all. Pool toys and a paddling pool for toddlers. bikes, boules.
