LOCATION The house is situated 4km from the attractive village of Verfeil-Sur-Seye, which has its own bakery, bar and village store. It is some 12km from the medieval town of St Antonin Noble Val in the tarn et garonne with its amazing architecture and fabulous Sunday market. The house is situated on one of the region's highest points and provides the most spectacular views to the south. Surrounded by countryside, this is a wonderful place for a quiet relaxing holiday and ideal for nature lovers.
PROPERTY The property is a lovely conversion of a farmhouse and adjoining barn and has wonderful oak beams and chestnut floors. The large main living area has the kitchen/dining area at one end and the lounge with a large wood burning stove at the other. There is an additional attractive seating area on the mezzanine floor looking out over the countryside. There are three comfortable double bedrooms and two bathrooms, one en suite.
The secluded fenced pool, measuring 10m x 5m, is close by with a constant depth of 1.3m. The pool area has sun loungers for all, parasols and various pool toys. There is an external eating area with BBQ.
A telephone is available if required as are a cot, high chair etc. There are extensive grounds and unspoilt countryside to explore. There are no neighbours within sight

The Midi-Pyrenees / Tarn-et-Garonne region
Nearby are Medieval villages, Bastide towns, Chateaux, Abbeys, Churches and magnificent natural sites of outstanding beauty; whether it be wooded valleys or the meandering River Aveyron with its dramatic gorges.The vineyards of Gaillac are 25 minutes and Cahor is 30 minutes , both have numerous caves for buying and sampling the local wines.
Within easy driving distance there are a large number of restaurants to cater for all budgets. Supermarkeets are nearby to meet all you in-house catering needs.
St Antonin Noble Val area
Ideally situated between the medieval villages of St. Antonin and Caylus , and 20 minutes from Corde sur Ciel . There is easy access to restaurants, shops and the renowned traditional markets - assuming you can drag yourself away from this idyllic holiday retreat of course!. The vineyards of Gaillac are 25 minutes and Cahor is 30 minutes , both have numerous caves for buying and sampling the local wines.
ACTIVITIES Horse riding, canoeing, fishing, rail trips, rock climbing, wine tasting, museums, pot-holing, tennis and of course walking. Golf is available at Albi (18-hole delightful course; approximately 40 minutes by car), where there is also a water-park for children. An afternoon excursion by canoe through the Aveyron Gorge is considered a *must* by nearly all guests.
A number of local villages and towns have interesting and colourful markets. (NB: Be sure not to miss the local market in St Antonin held on SUNDAY mornings), and Villefrance on thursdays.
EXCURSIONS BY CAR Within short driving distances, excursions can also be made to a number of fascinating towns and villages including Cordes, Albi, Najac, Cahors, Penne and Bruniquel, all of which are well worth a visit. For longer trips you have Carcassone , 2 hrs and the coast 2 1/2 hrs
How to get there
The property is approximately a day's drive from the Channel Ports and only just over an 1 hour from Toulouse Airport, which has daily flights from Heathrow, Gatwick, Birmingham, Southampton,Manchester,Dublin, Bristol ,Stansted and numerous flights from regional airports connecting with Amsterdam or Brussels and then onwards to Toulouse. Carcasonne, just an hour south of Toulouse, is another alternative with often very much cheaper fares. Rodez is about 1 1/2 hrs .

Further details indoors: ACCOMMODATION The main living area is light and spacious and has French windows to the outside. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge freezer, cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and food processor. There is a large dining table and comfortable sofas in the living area. There is a CD/tape player and radio, a TV and video player with numerous videos for children, lots of books for all ages and some family games.
The 3 good-sized bedrooms are on 3 separate floors. On the ground floor there is a double-bedded room with French doors to the terrace plus a full bathroom. On the 1st floor is another double-bedded room plus a shower room/wc. Above this in the former pigeonnier is the large twin bedded room.
The wood burning stove and electric heaters are provided for those chillier spring and autumn nights and for extended winter stays. (Contact us for a quotation).
There is a TV for use with the video player. also a supply of videos, indoor games and books
There are also facilities for infants (highchair, cot etc).
Sheets and towels ( bath and hand) are provided.
Further details outdoors: The private pool is fenced, and theere are pool toys, a swing and a paddling pool for toddlers. Loungers, garden furniture and b.b.q. also included in the property rental. Change-overs are on thursdays when the cost of flights is often much cheaper
