About the home

Ideally located for quick and easy access to all beaches and villages of Skopelos, Elies 1 is on the southern part of the island, above Limnonari beach and just off the main road.
Built in a plot of land that gently slopes down towards the 'big blue' of the Aegean sea, it offers stunning sea and countryside views. Olive and pine trees is the commanding vegetation in this part of the island.
We have planted our land with respect to the surrounding nature in order to create a unique combination of colors and light. The result can only be appreciated if you visit our land in person - even the pictures underrate reality!
Elies 1 is co-located with a 'sister' house, Elies 2; they both offer the same high standard accommodation and thus are ideal for rent by 2 friendly families - as each house accommodates up to a family of 5. They are also perfectly suitable for rent by separate groups/families/couples, as the houses are designed to be completely independent from one another...
Elies 1 benefits from a 60 sqm swimming pool (shared with Elies 2) with a shallow end perfect for children, and a jacuzzi.
The interior design is spotless; stone, wood, glass and modern furniture are all combined to create an aesthetic result that is beyond imagination!
Our aim is to create an ergonomic and exclusive environment for you, our guest.

Facilities

Further details indoors:
Elies 1 comprises of two bedrooms with en-suite bathroom & shower (one bedroom with twin beds and en suite bathroom is at the attic), an open-plan fully equipped kitchen (including all necessary utensils) a spacious living room with a fireplace and satellite TV, leading to a private terrace overlooking the swimming pool and the sea.

Worth noticing that the breathtaking view is visible from anywhere within the house (except the bathrooms...).
Linen and bathroom towels are provided and changed every 3 days. House cleaning is also done every three days.,

Further details outdoors:
Elies 1 has a private terrace with a good size wooden table and 4 comfortable chairs - the ideal place for having breakfast/ lunch or dinner! A transportable gas-operated barbecue is also available for use.
There are also eight 'chaise longues' by the swimming pool and ample shade so that you can make the most of them, even the warmest hours of the day! Towels for swimming pool use are provided.
The swimming pool has a shallow-end (perfect for children) with a jacuzzi in one corner of it. The pool also has a deep end.
Secure parking is available on-site .

The owners/managers of Elies 1 and Elies 2 Houses live on the same plot of land in a separate house.
Garden and swimming pool is shared with the owners of the properties.
Owners are on-site and available throughout your stay to answer your questions/satisfy any special requests. They speak fluent English and French and have some command of German.

The Sporades/Evia region

The archipelago of the Sporades comprises four main islands - Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonnisos and Skyros - plus a number of rocky islets which are ideal for fishing/exploring by boat.
Each island has its own special atmosphere; Skopelos in particular is renowned for its verdant landscape, picturesque bays, numerous monasteries, and Skopelos town ('Chora'), with its traditional architecture and countless churches.
Skopelos visitors can choose between a cosmopolitan vacation or a quite stay...

The Skopelos Island / Limnonari area

Enjoy peace and serenity at Elies House while swimming at the pool or dining at your private terrace...
Or you may want to dive into the crystal clear waters of the Aegean by driving (or walking) to Limnonari beach (2.5 km downhill - bar & watersports available). More outstanding beaches are located in the vicinity: Panormos & Andrines (7 km), Milia & Kastani (8 km - scenes from 'Mama-Mia!' where filmed there...), Stafilos & Velanio (7 km).
If you feel like exploring more remote or 'secluded' beaches, then, pop down to Panormos or Skopelos town to rent a boat of your own - ask on-site for further details..
Skopelos however is not just great beaches and sea: if you feel energetic, there are great hiking/mountain biking paths...ask on-site for further details.
The most picturesque and busiest village of the island is Skopelos town ('Chora') - only 5 km driving from Elies Houses (approx. 8 minutes) with a number of good restaurants and bars. The nearest amenities are located at Agnontas - a tiny settlement in a causy bay , only 2 km from our houses with three sea-side fish taverns.

Several ways to get to Skopelos island:
1. Fly to Skiathos island, take the ferry to Skopelos island (Skiathos to Skopelos town is 1 hour by ferry and 40 minutes by passenger-only boats). From Skopelos town Elies Houses (our properties) are 5 km distance. On Skopelos island, it is advisable to rent a car or scooter in order to be able to better explore the island as well...
2. Fly to Volos (nearest Greece mainland airport), take the bus to Volos town (approx 45 minutes), then take the ferry/passenger boat to Skopelos town. It is 3 hour & 45 minutes from Volos to Skopelos town by ferry or 2 hour & 30 minutes by passenger speed boat. On Skopelos island, it is advisable to rent a car or scooter in order to be able to better explore the island as well...
3. Fly to Thessaloniki airport and then travel to Volos port (bus or car hire) - approx 2 h& 30 minutes, then as above.
4. Fly to Athens International airport, and then travel to Agios Konstantinos port (bus or car hire, approx 2 hours), then take ferry or speed boat travel distance similar to Volos-Skopelos..
