This attractive villa and private pool, stands in it's own grounds on a pine hillside, with superb views and sunsets, overlooking the sea and islands just 3km from San Antonio and just 2 mins by car, 8 mins walk from the sandy cove of Cala Salada. It is at the end of a cul-de-sac so there is no passing traffic. This is an 'up-market' part of the Island away from the Ibiza party image which however can still be sampled in the evening, less than 5 minutes car ride away in San Antonio.

The view from the lounge terrace is quite something and you will want to take pictures of the sunsets. There is also a spacious secluded pool terrace and roof terrace. Sunbeds are located on all 3 terraces. Solar assisted heating to all 3 showers and bath mean there's usually plenty of hot water. Other features are Sky TV, BBC and ITV, DVD and audio amp for your iPod, FREE Wi-Fi internet access There are nice restaurants nearby which are listed in the house book. Or if you wish to cook at home then there is a super new kitchen with everything you would expect ( including dishwasher) .

Please see our Guests' write-ups on Trip Adviser to get an idea of what a lovely Villa we have here.

The villa has a number of steps up to front door but our new private road built in spring 2010 now enables you to drive right up to the door of the villa & park on our private rear terrace where you can also play volleyball & badmington. . Wheelchair access is possible bit not really recommended. Car hire is an advantage for Island-touring but not essential as there is a good taxi service for the 5 mins to San Antonio at just 7.5 euros. The beach & restaurant is only a short ( 8 min ) walk.

The Balearic Islands region

Ibiza is the middle-sized of the 3 main balearic Islands. The Island is only about 20 miles long & 10 miles wide. It's climate tends to be sunnier & a little warmer than Mallorca & Menorca. The western ( San Antonio) side of the Island has more sun-hours than the eastern ( Ibiza town & playa d'en bossa ) side & also is much quieter as the flights come low over the east side when taking off & landing. You will want to Visit Ibiza town & the ancient citadel, look at the boats in the private Yacht clubs , or visit the Casino. Or simply spend a day ( at least !) looking round all the shops in Ibiza town's port area.

The interior of the Island is really beautiful especially in Spring when when the almond blossoms and wild flowers are in bloom . If you hire a car you will have great days exploring from Salinas in the south up to Portinax in the north.

If you would rather be afloat then boats leave from San Antonio to many bays, a cruise round Vedra ( the spectacular sea mountain ) & to Formentera seeing the cliffs & bays from the sea along the way.

San Antonio

The local Cove/Beach of Cala Salada is 8-10 mins walk. Nice sandy beach with sunbeds and parasols (small fee) Clean water. No bus or boat service from town so no rowdies. Nice restaurant and beach bar. Also 10 mins walk away is Punta Galera where you can bask on the rocks and dive into the clear water. Many other beaches, many with restaurants are 10-20 mins drive. The Villa notes-book lists these. Boat trips to Formentera, Vedra etc are available from San Antonio harbour.

There are two golf courses in Club de Golf Ibiza just 20 minutes away by car ; one 9 hole and one 18 hole. Although it’s a private club, anyone can play here. The green fee for one day is 72 euros.

There are also over five horsemanship schools on the island.

There are several Scub Diving schools in Ibiza and 2 are in San Antonio. Each day new people are taught to scuba dive in the clear waters. These surreal underwater landscapes with caves, luminescent fish at night, shoals of fish during the day, are really something.

Fishing can be good especially in late summer when the Tuna & lampuka shoals visit Ibiza.

There are many bays & beaches, some small & secluded & some larger with water-ski & pedalos & wind-surfers. Also there are great cliffs for rock-climbers with clamp-pins already in the cliff-face.

There is a water park in San Antonio, a karting track where you can hire a Kart.

Of course there is teh famous night life, the Music clubs, bars, Cafe Del Mar for cocktails at Sunset where you go to "see & be seen". Many restaurants mean that you can spend a month here & not use the same one twice.

To sum up ; Ibiza is a beautiful fascinating Island with something for everyone, whether is is peace & quiet & relaxation or just a Music & Club-Holiday, or sea, sand & sun, or country walks; it is all here and you will want to return.
